We stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling around the islands. We were upgraded to the best room with a sea view. Unfortunately on the first night there was a power cut and so we had to go out. I'm pleased to say this was fixed when we returned and didn't happen again. The air conditioning system in the room... More

The first time i went to samui was in 2005 and i thought it was heaven on earth, but now it seems to have become too commercialised. However the fisherman's village in Bophut is still a great place to get away from it all.The Lodge is a fantastic place to stay if you want a relaxing peaceful holiday. The beach is just outside... Anyone going to Koh Samui for a relaxing break should stay here. It's situated in lovely area called Fishermans Village, which has a market on a Friday, which is great. It's really reasonably priced, very confortable, rooms are great and air conditioned. It's a genuine stones throw from the sea (I tested it after a beer or 2). If you... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Your kind comments about our staff are always good to hear and the staff particularly enjoy the compliments. Please note that all our rooms have a sea view. Those on the ground floor enjoy easier access and a small garden area that views out onto the beach. All other rooms... More

We have stayed here twice now and would stay again. The location in fisherman's village is great. Central and directly on the beach. The rooms are big and clean and nicely done. The staff and friendly, the food good and the MaiTai's are fab!

First, a paragraph about Koh-Samui: I have been visiting Thailand for almost a decade, but this is my first time here. To judge from post everywhere, one would be forgiven to think that Samui is a giant dumpster, a discussing place full of drunks and broken bottles. Believe me, Samui is (still) very nice. As any other big island, from... More

I stay in Koh Samui regularly for work and sometimes for pleasure. I much prefer to stay in the Fisherman's Village in Bophut more than the hustle bustle of Chaweng or Lamai. The Lodge in the fisherman's village is pound for pound one of the best guesthouses in the world. Clean, affordable, absolute beachfront and supported by Khun Kio and... More

We've been visiting KS for almost 30 years and have definitely seen the changes in the area. Formerly a backpacker's haven, it no longer is such, but still maintains a low key, cheaper alternative to Phuket and Pattaya. We've always stayed clear of Chaweng and always chose Bophut, and in particular The Lodge as our temporary home while there. And... More

Two visits on consecutive Fridays (market nights) and on both occasions the meal was first class. The Spring Roll starter was made up of nine rolls! Our party of four all agreed that the food was well cooked, plentiful and very tasty. Our second visit was equally successful. Well done The Lodge.

I travelled with my father and two younger siblings in Thailand, we stayed in Bophut for two nights and love the fisherman village. They have an amazing night market every friday that we were lucky enough to visit. The whole area is wonderful, full of great restaurants and shops and the people are friendly and relaxed. The only bad experience... More

We are so sorry that your visit was below your expectations. Your particular experience is highly unusual and of great disappointment to us. We have taken measures to help prevent such dissatisfaction in the future. We have English speaking staff and staff numbers have been increased to ensure vigorous re-cleaning of rooms prior to check in. As for the hustle... More
