Water was dirty looking, so I couldn't use the shower at all. It had a metallic, contaminated smell. The same tan, disgusting water came out of the water faucet, so I didn't feel comfortable using it to wash my face or brush my teeth.

Very good location just 2 minutes from Thapae Gate (its on the road behind McDonalds, sort of). Nice friendly staff and excellent value for money (400bht). Basic rooms, without a fridge, very reasonable rates located in Taepei Soi 3 close to the Chaing Maio Gate. Excellent laundry service and Thai Massage ladies.
Overnight security guard is a pleasant kid too.

Excellent! it's only 250 baht per night for a fan room. It was really clean and had a TV with cable in the rooms. The owner was friendly and helpful. By far the best place I stayed in Thailand.
