Its a dump, but it has a pool. The rooms are dirty - some very very dirty (love that mould) Staff can be rude, or very rude - or sometimes pleasant. Don't stay here if you like clean rooms, clean sheets or ... anything clean. But if you're looking for a cheap place to crash with a pool that's reasonably... More

Ok so this isnt the Ritz but for 400b a night for a room with a pool you can't complain. Location is pretty good, central but on a quiet street. Easy to walk to the centre of town. I tried to book at Top north hotel but they where full so the receptionist took me to the guesthouse on his... More

I was horrified by the windowless room I was first shown (not to mention the large rat I saw scurry behind a pile of debris in the hotel corridor). However, after paying a mere 100 baht to upgrade to a larger room with a view, I was content with the Top North - the central location and great value makes... More

Traveled here as a family. Pool was nice although chilly in December. Great food and good prices. Room was fabulous and easy to book. Negotiated for a lower rate since we stayed a week. Housekeeping and reception was very helpful and honest. Hot shower, Tv, air/fan, wifi in lounge area by pool. Fabulous coconut drinks :) More

Top North Guest House is one of my favorite no thrills places to stay while in Chiang Mai. It has all of the same amenities as Top North Hotel at half the price. It's not quite as luxurious as the hotel, but well worth the asking price. My favorite part of the guest house is without a doubt the restaurant... More

After a 12 hour bus journey we checked into top north! We had heard good things so thought this would be the same. Regrettably we should have checked the rooms before paying 300 baht for one night. The room wasn't clean, we checked for bed bugs as every backpacker should, and there were the black and blood stains and bed... More

I found this guest house by just walking around. Room prices were 300, 400 and 500 baht. I stayed in room C11, 500 baht a night. You can try to bargain for a better price if you stay multiple nights. The room was on the third floor, and there are no elevators. The bed was large and comfortable. AC, fridge... More

This hotel is in a good location and prices very reasonable and cheaper then others in the area. There was a really nice younger guy at the desk that showed us the rooms, and gave us a good deal on the 'suite' so we took it for only 1200 baht per night (it's normally 1500 baht so you'll have to...
