The place is very nice, the wooden bungalows are displaced in a beautiful garden. Very quite and one can appreciate the silence, only frogs and birds singing. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but very big and with all you need. Bed heating for cold night available. Wi-fi is not always working. We had a very good and generous... More

We have a friend who has been raving about this resort to us. It took us over a year before we could actually make the trip there. We called the General Manager and he kindly made the booking for us. We went there with some friends and stayed in cottages with a garden view. It was a wonderful experience. We... More

Stayed in the resort for 3 nights. This is a re-visit after some 20 years. The resort has undergone quite some renovation since then and the rooms are as good as ever. We requested for a quiet rome but at the same time close to the main building so that we can have food within a short walking distance. Our... More

I had stayed at other Amari hotels and knew what a high standard the company achieved in those. However, I'd read reviews that mentioned that the Angkhang Nature Resort wasn't up to the usual expectations and was interested to see how it differed. We stayed for two nights from February 4th, having stayed in Chiang Saen, and Chiang Rai over... More

Great location and really good home cooking. The staff is very nice, even with their limited English. Prices were reasonable and very close to a nice village and next to a Great Lake. I can't praise the food anymore. It was great and fresh. I had fried bananas. Very slow service, but worth it. Bed was hard as a brick.

The hotel & the room is a naturally old style, but the room & decor are outdated and old. Room amenities & quality are not up to the standard comparing to the room rate. The service is average, staff are friendly. Hotel food are also average. The hotel need improvement on room decoration & lobby.

We stayed here for a night too on our trip around north Thailand. It's an international chain hotel run by the Amari group so there is a higher standard than expected from the local hotels, though they do also hire a large percentage of locals including the hill tribes community which is something I appreciate. Just don't have too great... More

Hard to find good hotel in this area. Expensive during winter time. Close to garden which is very famous. Stay one day is more than enough and get back to Chiangmai or Chiangrai. Food is very ok...organic and not much expensive. Internet in the room is free but hard to connect. Anyway, highly recommended for affordable tourists. I and my... More

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel but it is still quite expensive for what it was. I was given a cottage in the grounds with an adjoining door to the room next door through which I could hear every single word! Worst of all was the overpowering smell of mould which, despite leaving the windows open with a fan... More

While the resort and cabin based rooms seemed older, all was in a very good state of repair. Our room was clean, comfortable and nice firm beds. Washroom was quite large with a big shower no tub, and all in working order. The vistas from the room were quite magnificent with the sun setting behind the mountains. Food service was... More
