If you love real Lanna decoration, you will love this hotel. They are good decoration with Lanna style. Also nice facilities such as library, private museum, swimming pool, outlet. They are located in the old town side. You can walk to Sunday night market from the hostel just 15 minutes. You will find a lot of street food there.

We stayed here last year in July of 2012 for summer vacation on our trip to Chiang Mai. There were absolutely no problems or anything to complain about during our 4 night stay here. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly. My traveling partner became ill on our trip and the manager did everything that he could to make sure... More

Among all the chaos and calamity of Chaing Mai lies an unbelievably beautiful, peaceful haven. We were awed by it's serenity, tranquility and manicured grounds. The decor is simple, warm and tastefully incorporates many unique Thai pieces. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the general manger, Paul, was an amazing help to us...suggesting and booking fantastic excursions, local restaurants and... I stayed at this hotel in January. I had originally booked a week but I extended my stay twice and would have liked to stay more. The owner/manager Gonchai is a very friendly and helpful person as are all his staff. I really felt at home at de Rachamanka and it made my stay at Chiang Mai a very memorable... More

First of all the price! Agoda are selling it at a special discounted rate of 1200baht per night. BS....when we arrived the sign outside said 790 Baht per night! Secondly, the rooms were small dark dingy with poor lighting, full ofmosquito'ss and dirty. My bathroom room had a leaking sink which looked like it hadnt been fixed for months and... More

The hotel has very strong pluses and a couple of minuses. The best thing is its staff - lovely, friendly, eager to help, accommodating and English-speaking. Although we speak passable Thai, it is pointless to run a hotel where staff are afraid of tourists. Which happens a lot in Asia. The main problem is light in some rooms. The hotel... More

Very good location in the heart of the old city. The manager speaks a perfect english and always willing to help and advice, a doubt? Just ask him and you will not regret it. Helped us out renting a motorbike, finding a great restaurant to enjoy some Thai food (by the way, its name is The House restaurant). Rooms are... More

For us the location of this hotel was perfect. Situated in the heart of the old town and away from the noise of the new town but still within the perimeter of the moat. Yes there's noise from the school but this is part of the fabric of the area and the everyday life. After a few days you get... More

Nice hotel not glamorous but simple and stylish rooms. Very friendly family atmosphere. Felt safe and welcome walking distance to Sunday Walking and many restaurants. Western and Thai breakfast. We did have to wait until 2 to check in but that is because the rooms were full and staff need time to clean.

I think overall I didnt have a great experience at this place. We arrived early and were not able to check in until the stated time of 2pm which was fine and they happily kept out bags while we went and checked out the area. Unlike other reviewers I didnt think the location was all that, it wasnt too far... More
