This hotel was small but perfectly formed. We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip with another couple, we booked extremely last minute and were very lucky to get rooms during Songkran. On the first night we stayed on the ground floor which was a bit on the noisy side but the next morning Pearl kindly... More

Room was lovely, but right by pool so noisy during the day. Breakfast was yummy and pearl will help you with any tours, visits or tuk tuks you need booking. The location is quiet so you have to walk a bit for restaurants, but dont bother, eat at the street stalls instead for yummy cheap food- just scout where the... More

The Castle is a good find. The owner and her staff are exceptionally pleasant, kind and attentive. There was pick-up at the airport and when I had to move to another hotel to join friends, the same young man who picked me up at the airport gladly took me there. Rooms are basic but are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is... More

At a low price ($30) you are living in a lovely little chateau in a residential area just outside the old town. It takes 10min to walk to the old town but in turn you get great peace and quiet and see how many of the residents of chiang mai live. Old town might be a better location if you... More

We stayed here for 6 days at the end of Feb. We had a standard room on the first floor and have to say it was perfect for us. The room had everything we needed inc large fridge, TV, free wi-fi etc. It was also very quiet being a short 5 min walk from the main town area. The hotel... More

We stayed at the Castle for 3 nights back in January. As for the rooms, I wasn't very impressed. The hotel is already pretty small, as it's a family business. Therefore the rooms are very small and you feel like you constantly don't have any privacy. The window faces the hallway, and you can almost see everything of what's going... More

We stayed at the Castle for 3 nights in February. The hotel is one of the best we have stayed at in our trip around Asia. We were met at the airport by the hotel taxi and a super friendly driver had a welcome board with our names on it. We were driven straight to the hotel which is on... More

Staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Pearl at the front desk speaks perfect English. Located in a residential area very near the gate to the old city. The rooms are generous and very clean. They could use some updating. The price is excellent for this guest house.  More

Spending some time in Chang Mai is a must do when you're in Thailand, an experience which only get better by staying in The Castle. Located a little bit outside the old city centre, but worth the walk. (or the tuk-tuk drive) It is really a nice place, with nice and ultraclean rooms, fully equipped to cater for traveller's needs.... More

Wow couldn't ask for a nicer start to my time in Thailand! The castle was ideal! Right from the moment we arrived we felt right at home. They were expecting us, gave us a handy little map and overviewed the popular places to go, gave us a card that had directions to give the tuk tul driver making it easy... More
