We've stayed at the de Moc quite a few times in the last three years when showing friends and family around Bangkok. It used to be one of our favourite places to stay but not anymore. The service is now quite poor in the buffet breakfast where the staff seemed very unenthusiastic about providing bacon and eggs (which should have... More

The hotel is situated in a part of Bangkok with low buildings and a lot of tempels. The rooms are nice. There is free Wifi. A small swimmingpool. The girls in the receptions are very helpfull. 10 min walk from the hotel is Kao San Road. A quarter with lots of restaurants, backpackerhotels and touristshops. Very lively in the evening.... More

Stayed here for 3nights, 4 days with a friend backpacking through Southeast Asia. He was the one who took care of the booking and I just flew in from Manila to meet him in BKK. This hotel is about an hour and a half away from the airport. The receptionist had a hard time conversing with us but they were... More

I stayed here for a couple of days before joining a Gap Adventures tour 1st January 2011. Friendly receptionists and porters. Loved the buffet breakfasts they had and even cooked infront of you. Rooms were big and clean and airy, cool elephants made out of towels on the beds. Bathroom was kind of dark though as the only light in... More

The hotel is a sad place and it should have been renovated ten years ago. The hallways reminded me of an old school building. The room was big but that's it. The furniture was worn: the only chair (see photo) had only one armrest left. The control panel of the bedside table just dropped off (see photo). There were no... More

This hotel has lots of potential, so maybe soon it will be a good place to stay. But, not now. It's within walking distance to Ko Sam Road, it has a pool, there are cool cars outside, the rooms are a decent size - but that's where the good stuff ends. It's not clean, the staff don't speak English well,... More

This is a really great hotel. The location is excellent - just 5 minutes from the crazy Koh san Road but far enough away that you can get a good nights sleep. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were spotless. The staff were excellent, in particular the reception staff who could not do enough to help you. I would... More

We had stayed at Hotel de Moc in 2008, enjoyed it, and were very keen to return to the room we'd had on the 5th floor because it was away from the lifts and was high enough up not to have an overabundance of street/traffic noise. We were happy to eventually be given a room close to where we'd requested.... More

Our Gecko tour started here so we booked a couple of nights in advance of the tour. I wish I had stayed here when the hotel was in it's prime, it would have been really something. Unfortunately the hotel is past it's prime. Had a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor, balcony was behind a big tree but... More
