The location was geat, and it was cheap, but... The room (stayed in 405) was really hot because it was a fan room for 400 baht, and there were so many ants that entered our bags and shoes that we had to disassemble them and turn the inside out. The heat in the room was so uncomfortable, that it felt... More

I, my girlfriend and her brother booked by phone from Chang Rai two days before a triple room and arrived in BGK at 5am after a 16 hours bus ride. First it was very hard to find and when we did they said the check out was at 1pm so we would have to wait until there to have the... More

This was our first stop travelling, recommended by a friend. It was very close to backpacker central, (2 min walk) ko san road. It was relatively quiet compared to the main street. We had a room with fan and hot water. Water wasn't hot, but to be honest you don't need it anyway. There are free lockers for those staying... More

Firstly ignore all the "hard to find" reviews! Take a taxi/ Tuk tuk to Khao San Rd police station then as you walk along you'll see a big sign for the guesthouse, then it's less than 5min walk. I paid 350Bht per night and got a double room as the singles were all pre-booked! They allowed me to check in... More

This place located along small alley, so it was really hard to find it. We booked the triple bedroom 3 weeks before check in, but when we reached there, the room was not ready yet, so they put us into twin bedroom with extra bed. That was a nightmare, because the room was too small for 3 of us, and... More

this has been the first time we slept at new joe. best location if you love the crowded khao san road. the rooms are quite old but decently maintained. it's cheap and cheerful and it might be the best choice if you are travelling on budget. More

If your primary concern is money then stay here its cheap and cheerful thats about it!! It is litterally the next street over from Khao San but with much less noise!! Really great restaurant with alot on the menu, never used the travel desk but it seems to be really popular. The fan room for 300 baht is fairly reasonable... More

We chose this guesthouse only for the reason that this is the cheapest that we found in the internet. The bed and the sheets are clean but the bathroom is dirty! Seems like they're not cleaning it when there are no guests staying in their guesthouse! Another thing is there are no curtains in the other window which makes you... More

After staying one night in a pre-booked hotel on Khao San Road (Khao San Palace Inn - way overpriced!), I went to look for some cheaper accommodation nearby. After looking at a few guesthouses for around 200-300 baht for a single, New Joe's definitely came top for friendly staff and cleanliness. I paid 300 baht for a single bed with... More

This hotel is very good value. It's basic, but it's in a fairly quiet location just off Khao San. But, saying that - it is still in the Khao San area, so don't be surprised to be woken up by loud arguements, shouting, thumping music and noisy sex. You'll hear it all. If you've come to party, it's a great... More
