Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very bad experience! Never book this hotel. You’ll spoil your holiday, time and money! It’s a scam hotel. We booked a room for 3 nights through Agoda with a confirmed non refundable booking. And these scammer receptionists told me while I was checking in that they don’t have the booking under the pretext that they didn't have rooms. They just didn’t want to honour our booking because they got a better deal from someone else. We were forced to book another hotel last minute for an exorbitant price. I got no help from the general manager of the hotel even after speaking to her over phone. She wasn’t present at the hotel. I say again STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

This hotel kept Covid 19 testing of guests after others had stopped. Breakfast was limited. Better values can be found. The hotel allowed food delivered wiith GRAB. After the disappointing breakfast we just ordered take out with GRAB.

Staff friendly, extremely expensive restaurant and inattentive restaurant staff, the location is only good if you want to be close to Bangkapi Mall, no BTS station near, plus horrendous roadworks out side of the hotel giving nearly 24 hour traffic jams, breakfast to be missed, the hotel mainly caters now for mass large Chinese tour groups..

I am writing halfway through our stay as the staff are extremely helpful and we would really like to see more people enjoying their hospitality. The moment we arrive one if the staff sat with us, welcomed us, and then made sure we were settled. We had looked into tours around Bangkok so asked if they could offer the service as well. We found the hotels price competitive, adding to the fact it was door to door, as I had read that the location could be tricky. As for location, the property is signed posted on the main road due to road construction, we have had no problem in returning to the hotel by taxi at all. The rooms are very spacious. The pool is barely used, as is the case with the fitness room, so you are almost 100% guaranteed that these facilities will be 100% private. The mall is very close, there is a gate through the underground parking lot to the riverside pathway that allows easy access. The mall is very modern with a large variety of restaurants and shops. As reviewed by others the only real negative is breakfast. Many Chibese tour companies utilize this hotel as an overnight venue, thus breakfast is Chinese style. However, we have enjoyed eggs on toast every morning and fresh fruit.

Alexander Hotel Bangkok is a cheap, three-star hotel located Bang Kapi, Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the few hotels that I am aware that allows clients to check in early in the morning, rather than late in the afternoon. The hotel is about 30-45 minutes drive from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Located in an extremely poor location, Alexander Hotel is very inconspicuous and the cab driver was not able to locate the entrance at the first go on all 4 days when I am here. Coupled to that, the next U-turn on the road is a good 10-15 minutes drive away. Therefore, I would usually book my Uber cab even before I leave my room for the lobby. Even so, I would have to wait for a good 15 minutes in the lobby. For unknown reasons, the road that leads to the Hotel would always have a traffic jam, and even from somewhere near, e.g. Siam Paragon, I took close to 2 hours just to get back to the Hotel. This is extremely frustrating. The Hotel staffs, however, are quite friendly, although they would need to brush up on their English and Chinese proficiency if they want to deal with tourists from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Europe, and America. There are a couple of Hotel staffs that are able to speak Chinese fluently. The staffs, however, are very helpful. Seeing that I had some trouble contacting my Uber (who could only speak Thai as well), the Hotel staff asked if I needed help and he did help me speak to the Uber driver. The Hotel does offer complimentary breakfast (0600-0900) for the clients during their stay. The breakfast spread, however, can be quite limited and repetitive. Most of the food every day remain unchanged, except for some small changes. The food can be a little spicy and cold as well. There is only one live cooking station, which features either pork congee or fish porridge (fish is rubbery). The Hotel is also lacking in some amenities. Even though there is an outdoors swimming pool within the Hotel, the water looked slightly dirty with the birds feeding on the pool water. In my 4 days of stay here, I did not note any tourists swim or dip in the pool. The shallowest end of the pool is 0.80m and the deepest end is 1.70m. Another downside of the Hotel room is that there is an absence of a safe. The safe, however, is located within the Hotel, but in a more central location, which I found to be slightly unconvenient. Also, all the sockets inside the room are 2-pinned. Therefore, do plan ahead and bring an adapted. Otherwise, the Hotel Reception is able to loan one to you (even if you have 2 rooms), subject to availability. Each room is only given WiFi access to 2 devices.

You may find this an older hotel, however the staff was very helpful and you could always find someone to help. Our room was very clean and well maintained. If there was a problem it was fixed or they would give us another room. Found the food to be excellent. Always satisfied with the free breakfast. Many of clients are Chinese tour groups, local Thai seminars, and sports and other venue event participants. So in that respect you will find it a unique experience. The Wifi is free for a short while as a sample of the carrier's service, after that you would pay for usage if you wish to continue. Again, the very helpful and dedicated staff and management is a asset for this property and a wonderful example of Thai hospitality.

Very large old hotel with majestic lobby but the room wing that I was in was old and tacky. The bathtub tap leaked continuously. The staff do their best on the service front to make guests satisfied with the place but it is two star, not so attractive. WiFi was terrible. Breakfast was not included but there was a large food store nearly attached to the hotel.
