The guesthouse is located directly on the river near chinatown market. The view from the roof top restaurant is outstanding and the service staff friendly and nice! The rooms are quite big for the price but unfortunatly not always clean. All in all the guest house and espcially the restaurant is worth a visit! More

I don't normally bother leaving reviews for places I stay at, but having recently visited River View Guesthouse I felt compelled to share my experiences. My partner and I spent a considerable amount of time searching for suitable accommodation in Bangkok and eventually settled on this hotel. We booked a room in advance, but ended up leaving immediately because we... More

We did not actually stay here although we had booked. The location is in a back street past scrap metal workshops and not too nice. There are much better places to see the real Bangkok. Rooms were a real disappointment after the photos available online. Whole building dirty with renovations and seemed very unfinished. Standard room had no redeeming features... More

Bangkok is a diverse and amazing city....The River View GH is right on the Chao Phraya river, in Chinatown, which makes it the best part of town to stay for culture, great city and river views, friendly staff, and reasonable price....In recent years a lot of remodeling has been done, which has raised the price on many rooms but they... I've twice lived in Thailand and come back from time to time for visits. When I return my expectations are high. I always seek out places that show me the real Thailand, not the tourist scene. This time around a good friend -- who is a Lonely Planet author -- told me I had to stay at River View Guest... More

This Hotel is located in a very poor and dirty area of Bangkok. It's difficult to get there by car because it's in the middle of a narrow tight street. If you want a wise advice don't go to Bangkok! If you are a white person Thais try to rob you as much they can, principally in Taxis, Tuk Tuk... More

Very good Guesthouse near Chinatown and the river with a beautifull bar and very nice team.... I love this guesthouse!!! This place is authentic far from the backpaker area. If you want to be independant, go in this Guesthouse!!!! Near the underground train, near the express boat and near the train station! There is a little market near the guesthouse... More

Every time we come to BKK RVG is our first choice - so it has been since '95. Conveniently located near the river and River City gives an easy access to both buses and the ""river buses". we have seen the guest house been cinsiderably upgraded over the years and now with a wonderfull two floor restaurant at the top.... Have you travelled on the Chao Phraya River as it wends its way through Bangkok? Perhaps you have glanced toward the city skyline between Harbour Pier (#4) and Ratchawongse Pier (#5) and noticed in big bold blue letters the name River View Guest House adorning the roof of an eight storey building just a few hundred metres from the river...
