Located within walking distance to khao san (2 min) but without the noise. We stayed in room 305 - double fan with private bathroom for 450b. It was very basic, with a bed and small table in the large room. We liked that the window could open wide with built in mosquito net so we could leave them open at... More

This place is bare bones, good value, no frills, perfect for the penny pinching backpacker. We started and ended our tour of Asia in Bangkok and stayed here each time. The staff are pretty friendly and have good English. The rooms are basic but comfy enough and work out to around $4 per person if you share a twin or... More

The room price accounts for three of the four stars. The fourth one is for no roaches. People are right if they say that the staff wasn´t too friendly. ring your own lock, so you can lock your door from the outside while you are gone. One big minus: Wifi is 80 Baht per day extra, and they started to... More

We used Bangkok as a hub to travel around se Asia, the GH the cheapest and best value for money that we came across. The location is a close Khao san but without the noise and the ferry pier and bus stops are short walks away. A lot of ppl say that the staff are rude but i dealt with... More

This place could be great if the staff was friendly. The rooms are very basic and good value for the money you are spending. However, it is very clear that the staff does not care about you. The daytime staff is a bit better than the 2 very unfriendly guys who work night shift. The rooms are fairly clean and... More

Stayed there 7 nights, and all was fine more or less, except the few times we had to deal with the staff... You really feel like you deal with idiots that don't give a s*** about you. Too bad for what could be a good place to stay. Bed was big and comfortable, shower working good enough, aircond, fan ,... More

This is one of many Guest Houses along the road behind the Wat and KSan road. I sometimes stay at other places but they were full so I tried this place. Overall I am very happy with the room, stayed here 4 nights. I got a single with bath (non-air con) that has hot and cold shower for 280B a... More

I stayed in a double non aircon room with a friend. Up on the sixth floor. The climb was a little tiring but it was worth it for the price. My only quibble is that the room was rather stuffy and there was no window opening out. On the whole 180bhat for a double room so close to Khao San... More

Merry V Guesthouse (Found on the backside of Rambutri, not on Phra Athit) is a clean and basic room kind of place. For 170B and no key deposit a single bed in a small room with light and fan is offered. Extras (but not always) include a wall hook for a towel, a rubbish bin, and a small stand. If... More

The stile of the rooms is like the changing cabines in a cheap public bath: Cleanish, cold and small. But the price - value is ok. The staff is mostly friendly and it is not to noisy. They also sell wifi Internet access at a ok price.
