It really does meet all your expectations and more .Loved crossing the river and being saluted by the hotels captain..arriving in the pen lounged and waiting for the boat..all magical..met Italians who travelled the world and they confirmed this was their only repeat venue..they thought it was the centre of the world and we agree.service second to none and sitting... Being a fan of afternoon tea at the HK Pen we popped in for a re-charge over afternoon tea. A nice boat trip across to the hotel is a great way to kick off the visit. We had both the traditional and Thai afternoon tea set and found both had to many sweet and not enough savory elements. This aside... More

This hotel has high quality food, great friendly service, good value. The hotel is located in Choa Prayar River and has nice view from the hotel outdoor restaurant. What amazing of all is they planted the vegetables, spices at the back garden. Also they use all the things that are planted and use for they menu recipes. There is nothing... More

The room was very nice, had a suite. I would have preferred a balcony. I was more impressed with the mandarin oriental. Not going back due to distance, but I would prefer the ambiance of the mandarin.

2nd part of our family trip to Thailand, enjoying the hospitality of the Peninsula for 5 nights. My comments will be short, as our experience with the Peninsula was simply impeccable. We found that the hotel location was extremely convenient, just a 5-mn boat ride (via the hotel shuttle boat) from the skytrain station. In a week, we used a... More

We love Mandarin Oriental hotels; it's our place to stay in Washington DC. But in Bangkok, Peninsula wins out in our view. This may be splitting hairs, but the view across the river from the Peninsula side is more interesting, the rooms are newer, the lobby is elegant, the outdoor pools and the spa are lovely and relatively quiet, and... My wife and I stayed at the Peninsula for a couple of nights as a treat after some busy work schedule around Asia and Africa. The hotel has the air of grandeur that comes from the name Peninsula. Very good service from the breakfast and pool teams but rather stiff concierge service (come on, lighten up!) and please, please, please:... More

Stayed many times at the Peninsula over the years. All has been said on the accommodations and the grounds but, in my opinion, the location on the Chao Praya, the lovely boats and the amazing views from the rooms are the main assets. Housekeeping is exceptionnal : even bookmarks were placed in our books. Unfortunately the restaurants are not what... More

The Peninsula is one of the best properties I have stayed at in Bangkok. There's a quiet elegance about it, which I guess should be expected of any Peninsula property. I arrived really early, so had the benefit of eating breakfast while sitting by the riverside and watching the city wake-up. The breakfast was excellent. My room was lovely and... More

We ended a 4 week tour of Indonesia in Bangkok. While this was a very educational trip, Indonesia is a difficult place to visit. We were relieved and happy to be back in Bangkok. We were greeted at the airport by a representative of the Peninsula and taken comfortably in a lux car to the hotel. When we arrived at... More
