Found this hotel in extensive searching online for a cheap place to stay in Bangkok that still had a modicum of quality about it. Finally settled on the Ratchadamnoen Residence (try saying that quickly 5 times!) after reading some positive reviews. Got the express train from the airport to the city and then caught a taxi to the hotel which... More

The room was spacious and very clean but anyhow it was decorated in a pretty simple style. Room doors were paper thin and, therefore, noises may be heard from corridors. We didn't and there was quiet all the time. Drinks in the minibar were pretty cheap, which was a positive surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We even... More

Nice staff, great location near khao san road, good breakfast and clean rooms. Our room had two airconditions, which was nice. Bathroom basic, but clean Staff spoke English quite well. As summary: Nothing special, but decent Value for money.

Clean place to stay in Bangkok, quiet and large room. Staff are kind and can help you if you want. Comfortable rooms and clean and quiet. Breakfast is good and generous, you can start your day with it. Near Old Bangkok and Khao San Road, Great Palace. Good value and you have some restaurants near the hotel and easy to... More

Stayed here for 1 night in dec 2013. my first day travelling in Asia was made easier while staying here. Although down a quiet unpleasant back street it's a great location for lots of the main tourist attractions. I paid under 30gbp for one night and was satisfied with the room. I stayed at other hotels in bangkok in this... More

We chose this hotel for our two-night stay in Bangkok based on a combination of location, price and previous reviews; we were not disappointed. It sits in a back street away from the noise and commotion of the main roads and so is pretty quiet and allowed us some much-needed rest after our long journey. The rooms are extremely spacious... If you're looking for a clean, tidy, quiet, central, friendly place where to stay in Bangkok, this is your place. I got a double room for me as it was the last available, it was amazing! Big bathroom, huge room and awesome living room! Breakfast included, good choice of meals - continental, fruit, thai. The staff is very kind and... More

The hotel is located near democracy monument and is just a few minutes walk away from the bustling Khao San Road. In terms of location, this place is perfect if you want to visit temples like Wat Pho and Grand palace as these places are within a few km's, and is easy to get to using taxis and tuk tuks.... More

Ratchadamnoen Residence is located at the Democracy Monument in a small side alley (soi) near the Law Society building. The taxi driver had some issues finding the place but together we managed. Advise: look the location up at Google maps beforehand. The location, when entering the soi, looked "adventurous", but proved to be perfectly safe and fine. The hotel itself... More

I always decide a hotel on price/rating and I wasn't disappointed with this one. Near to the vibrant Kao San Road area, yet my room was nice n quiet. Lots of space with a sofa & armchair. Very firm bed which I quite liked. Shower wasn't the best but I still give this hotel top marks. Missed breakfast due to... More
