I agree with another reviewer that the location isn't great, but I would likely stay at the San Want Residences again. (Taxis are so inexpensive in Taipei, anyway ...) The staff were very sincere, friendly and helpful, and the room was extremely comfortable (the soaking tub was great!). More

I spent 3 nights here at the beginning of a week-long visit to Taiwan, and 1 more night at the end. The most noteworthy thing about this hotel is the professional, competent, helpful, friendly staff. I was astonished at their attention to detail. There was a power outage in the neighborhood during the middle of my stay. The hotel posted... More

On stopover from business trip and hence decided to pamper myself a little by staying in a good hotel. By good, I would mean everything.....in terms of checkin, the service was prompt and all staff speak good English which is a blessing ,not that I don't speak Chinese. Also noted is that several of their staff speaks Japanese as well... More

At first i kind of hesitate when booked this hotel, since Taiwanese friend of mine recommended us to stay in more renowned name hotel. Since all other hotel recommended by a friend of mine are either fully booked or extremely pricey, i jump a gun to disregard my friend advice and book a three night stay at San Want Residence.... We are very upset at the hotel and Small Luxury Hotels of the World, for listing among its amenities having a restaurant and a bar/lounge, when they don't. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and later on serves as the so called bar/lounge where they only offer 2 fixed mixed drinks, 2 beers, and a couple of wines. Their... More

Our group enjoyed our stay at the San Want Residences, Conveniently located, just 10-15min walk to shopping area and the metro, or its easy to get a taxi to go around. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has big shower area and a sunken japanese style bathtub. And it has also the Toto smart toilet so everything was automatic.... More

I was on a business trip to Taipei and I stayed in this hotel for about a week. It's one of the best hotels I have ever been to, especially the service, comfort, details, good breakfast and location. Service is the best I have ever had. Staff in hotel is very polite. Say "welcome back" when you get back to... More

At the sleeping time, we found that there always some loud noise from other hotel rooms. We had changed room once but the situation was the same and we had told the housekeeping about that. But they could not find out the source of the noise. Later, we found that when we closed the glass door of the shower area,... More

I like this hotel very much. The people who work at the hotel are very polite. We often hear stuff like "good morning", "good evening", "welcome back", "have a nice day", "see you soon"... The workers there were all very nice and kind. They opened doors for us, and once when we did not know where our lift card was,... More

This hotel ranks as the number one hotel in Taipei on Trip Advisor and after staying two nights on business I wonder why. I arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon which is the designated check-in time but was told that I would have to wait as the room was yet to be cleaned. The reception staff did direct me to... More
