I stayed here in February 2013 for two nights as part of a tour. The hotel is a lovely respite from the madness of Kathmandu and a welcomed sight after the long bus journey. The location is great and the service was friendly and with a smile. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast supplied is adequate but could... More

Stayed at the Barahi for 2 nights in May, was a very pleasant stay! Other than the usual clean rooms, polite and helpful staff, etc.: (+) 24 hours electricity despite the loadshedding (+) very nice staff who helped me get a surprise birthday cake for my brother, complete with a secret code to bring up the cake to the room... I've had 3 good nights' rest since arriving in Pokhara after a long travel around Annapurna trek. The hotel is tucked away in a big compound from Lakeside's main street, a plus point for tourists who do not want to be bothered by music bars that open late. The service staff were absolutely sweet and patient. I had forgotten about... More

The Hotel Barahi is close to the lake and used by tour groups, amongst others, so it must be pretty good. The rooms are clean if a little dark, and the lack of a lift can mean some steady stair climbing to get to your room. There's free, no quibble wifi in the restaurant and breakfast area, and a smallish... More

Hotel Barahi in Pokhara is the epitome of what the tourism industry in Nepal can achieve. Pokhara, in general, is slightly touristy, but for the most part, it is still developing and trying to compete among much larger cultural and natural destinations in Asia. Hotel Barahi is a great example of what this industry can truly achieve, and more importantly,... More

I was surprised to see that this restaurant in a so called 4 star hotel is a tourist trap!! At the Barahi hotel /Pokhara Flavors restaurant, they double charged us on all the alcoholic beverages we had! The manager reply was: "Sir, when you asked for a glass of Rhum, I thought you wanted a double!" Even though the glasses... More

Hotel Barahi is conveniently located close to the lake and main tourist street. 2 Minute walk to Moondance Cafe and shops. The outside garden and pool are nice but the pool gets busy with noisy kids. Rooms are very basic and let's just say I wouldn't walk on the carpet barefoot. Curtains are gross but the sheets and towels were... More

An efficiently run resort hotel for larger scale touring parties. High turnover of visitors. Also holds functions so it is alos used by foreign consultants and INGOs. Room was on the top floor overlooking the excellent swimming pool, so clouds permitting, you can get a view of the Himalayas in the morning. Room was fine, bed comfortable, breakfast was good,...
