A very friendly hotel with staff that took a personal interest in us, enquiring on our well fare, we mentioned prior to a few days away that the pillows were a little hard and on our return to moonlight we had new pillows. Nice hot showers, wifi, and situated in a quite area of Thamel. More

It was quite a bit of stay.. I just booked the hotel and didn't plan what to do in Kathmandu.. Prakash- owner of the hotel extended not just warm welcome, but also his knowledge & experience to devise a wonderful plan for me. Very near to Thamel and very close to the shopping area in Thamel.. You have plenty of... More

I stayed here for a night for $60 US and I thought for a mid range hotel it was good value. The pros: Large rooms Good ensuite bathrooms with reliable hot water and shower pressure. Excellent breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Free Internet terminals. Good location in Thamel. Off the main street so noise is kept to a minimum. Great service in... More

It was our third stay at Hotel Moonlight over the last few years and it was pleasant to be recognised by staff. Yes the beds can be a bit hard, the toilets and bathrom are ok but certainly not 5 star by any means. However the location is good, the breakfast quite good, the staff pleasant and the price is... It was my second time to stay at Hotel Moonlight and this time I stayed for 15 days. Unfortunately, the hot water was not available 24 hours a day and I had to give up on taking a shower several times. Also, when I stayed on the 5th floor, I was woken up by the terrible noise coming from upper... More

My friend & I stayed here twice while being trekking in Everest Base Camp. This is a great hotel in the Thamel, but not on the main streets so you won't be disturbed by street noise. The rooms are very big, perfectly clean and have a magnificent bathroom. I stayed before 2 nights in 2 different hotels, but Hotel Moonlight... More
