Great rooms, great service, has their own pick up and drop facility to the airport and peaceful location to stay. The only draw back is because of the government as they cut power for at least 7 to 8 hrs a day (i.e. morning 4hrs and evening 4hrs). More

Kathmandu is---perhaps surprisingly---a huge and congested city. The Hotel Thamel, while fairly well locted in the busy Thamel district, is not a pleasant refuge. The hotel is dark, dreary and depressing. It is not especially well maintained and there are numerous other choices locally which seemed to be far superior. Give this one a miss. More
