This hotel is clean and in a decent location. Just steps from the door is shopping, internet and many restaurants and bars. More

Great rooms, great service, has their own pick up and drop facility to the airport and peaceful location to stay. The only draw back is because of the government as they cut power for at least 7 to 8 hrs a day (i.e. morning 4hrs and evening 4hrs). More

This is the first ever hotel that i disliked in my 12 years of travel across several cities / countries. Few fundamental problems with this hotel 1) the bathroom exhaust directly comes into the room not to the outside, so the smell inside room is horrible. 2) The hotel doesn't have a ceiling fan, they have TV and a table... We stayed two nights in this hotel - which was recommended by the agency we used to book a trek. The location is good and first impressions are not bad but as soon as you leave their lobby and start the ascent to the rooms you realise this place hasn't been looked after for the last decades. Our room was... More

First of all, I would to thank you for staying with us. During the time of your stay ,it was April(high season) and that time all our rooms were full that's why you had to stay in that room. If you had told us about your problem, we would have definitely tried to provide you another room the next day... More

Kathmandu is---perhaps surprisingly---a huge and congested city. The Hotel Thamel, while fairly well locted in the busy Thamel district, is not a pleasant refuge. The hotel is dark, dreary and depressing. It is not especially well maintained and there are numerous other choices locally which seemed to be far superior. Give this one a miss. More

I stayed here twice and the service was excellent and for me it was nicely tucked away from the hub-bub of the Thamel street life. Also during a banda it was nice and secure (not that I really felt under threat or anything). I left lots of valuable things with them whilst I was away on trips and everything was... More

I stayed 10 nights in the Thamel Hotel, Kathmandu which is located in busy Thamel. Because the location is in a side street so you can expect to get a quiet stay. The hotel has a great value for the money: simple but nice furnished and clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and also helpful and professional. Also the... More

This hotel is good value for the money. The staff were very helpful and the rooms large and clean. It is just off a very busy street, but our room (at the back of the hotel) was quiet. I would definitely stay there again. More

A good place, I've stayed there twice now. It is a good base placed centrally in Thamel. The place is clean and somewhat quiet. It is a very kind and helpful staff, who will help you with planning if needed. More
