I stayed at this hotel with colleagues for my first night in Nepal and Kathmandu. The staff give you a traditional welcome and the rooms are incredible, almost the size of my London flat!. Lovely big bed, big windows, a bathroom with a shower and a bath, huge desk, not to mention fruit, chocolates in the evening and BBC world... More

This hotel is a gem! You can not miss it if you are traveling to Kathmandu. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous, you will be overlooking the sweetest courtyard. To be honest, I don't know how to put into words how special this place is. In the evening they have candles all over the courtyard giving it this warm glow.... More

I've only ever stayed in two Kathmandu hotels, but am a fairly seasoned leisure traveller world-wide and apart from a hotel I stayed in the Andes a couple of years ago, and another hotel I stayed in in Devon about 8 years ago, this is the most beautiful and ornately stunning hotel I have ever stayed in. Not for the... More

We checked in to the Dwarika's Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal for a two-night stay in March 2013. You are immediately greeted by friendly, helpful staff and check-in without delay. The property is very private and beautiful with high buildings and lush gardens surrounding secluded dining areas and a large inviting swimming pool. The decor is local and gives you a... More

How does one describe this beautiful piece of Paradise? Last week my son and I stayed for 6 nights at the Dwarika Hotel in Kathmandu. Everything was perfect ( the Internet was not always available but in some ways it was a welcome retreat from constant emails). The staff were genuinely helpful, the food was varied and exceptionally tasty and... More

As a frequent traveler to Kathmandu, I am always struck with the same problem. Stay cheap at a guest house, or enjoy the comfort of a nice hotel amongst the chaos of Kathmandu. I have stayed at many other so called '5 star' hotels in Kathmandu and found them all wanting, and then I found Dwarikas. It's hard to believe... More

Reviewed April 21, 2013 Was this review helpful? Yes I have stayed at Dwarika's on several occasions and they have all been memorable. The staff is excellent and the rooms are fantastic. It is a lttle out from the heart of downtown, closer to the airport. The Friday night buffet is not to be missed. The multi-course nepali restaurant is... More

We stayed at the Dwarika's for two nights. The building is incredible in design and the rooms didn't disappoint; large, clean and very comfortable. Room service was spot on and traditional restaurant was good although one of our party of six fell ill afterwords. Expensive hotel but you get what you pay for. Would recommend.

Luxury and romance, in the middle of everything. It was everything we hoped for and more. This hotel is a great place for honeymoons and anniversaries. The staff, room and hotel location are excellent. The little touches really made our stay special. Would definitely stay there again
