This hotel is well located in the Thamel area of Kathmandu. It is quite old but overall the room was clean. We paid 40 USD which we thought was a bit overpriced. Took a shower on my first day in the place, when, believe it or not, the cold water ran out half way through! There was only absolutely scalding hot water and it was impossible to finish the shower... I had to go down half naked, all covered with soap and shampoo to inform the management, then wait for another 30... More

I stayed a couple of days at Hotel Tenki and really enjoyed my time here! I especially appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. They are wonderful people and all eager to contribute to a pleasant stay of their guests. In the (sometimes too) busy Thamel, Hotel Tenki is a very relaxed and welcome place to stay. The rooms are big, they clean every day (clean towels et cetera), hot water all the time (no lie!) and the people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpfull (for example they helped a backpacker who's wallet and passport was stolen).... Looking from Outside hotel tenki seems as Normal as other hotels in Thamel, Kathmandu but when you go in to the hotel's room Room is really very nice and enough wide. i normally Look for clean Bathroom and room how clean it is... wow it is really a perfect room as my own home More

Nothing more but, "clean sheets and hot water".For Kathmandu this is a realy performance.All the rest has nothing to do with Tenki. More
