This hotel is a 3 star hotel that thinks it is a five-star hotel. The rooms are quite nice, with comfortable beds and nice fluffy bedding, and the bathroom is really gorgeous. The location is also great, right in the clocktower square, and walking distance to all the main Thimphu sites (but then again, so are all the hotels). But,... More

I along-with my other colleagues was staying at this hotel during 18 to 22.12.2011. I was allotted room no. 107. Room is good but on next day during my bathe geyser stopped working so alternate room was opened and I was shifted to room no. 105. Again in the morning door latch was not working and I had to call... More

This is one of the two best hotels in Timphu, Bhutan. The hotel has been recently renovated and has very good rooms bhutanese style. Have a luxuirious bathroom with good shower an hot water. The room we stayed at was big, facing one of the two main streets. The heating system runs without problem and it is enough to keep... More

Having inspected all hotels in Thimpu for work, the newly refurbished rooms at the Druk Hotel are the nicest in Thimpu if you're not staying at the 5 star Taj, Aman, or Termalinka. Be sure to book refurbished rooms. Rooms in the other wing are fine for 3 star, but the refurbished rooms are closer to 4star. Their restaurant also... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel for our first two nights in Bhutan. It was about the only hotel on our itinerary that wasn't changed. Thank goodness! The location is great, slap bang in the centre of Thimpu. Our room was amazing, with a very comfortable bed, and a luxuriously deep bath. It is a bit weird to have folding... More

Back in Thimphu for a few meetings and as always staying at Druk. Great location, beautiful, very pleasant and soothing, breat gym and spa and small pool. Good breakfast and the Bhutanes restaurant is excellent. The bar is horribly expensive and closed on Tuesdays (dry day). Internet works well and decent satellite television setup. Staff is both friendly and efficient,... More

Dear Guest, I am afraid you got the name of the Hotel wrong.Hotel Druk does not have the spa and the gym ready yet. When you mentioned the pool i realized it must be the TAJ TASHI. Nevertheless i am happy that you had a good stay. More

After the recent renovation the Druk Hotel has become the best option in Town. Sophisticated details in the new luxury rooms with a unique local bhutanese character and charm, combined with a personalized family service. I have always loved the Druk because i am surrounded by an attentive team who treats me as if I was part of their family.... More

It was a rough diamond when we stayed at Druk last November 2010, but this recent trip during the Royal Wedding celebrations of His Majesty King Jigme Wangchuck, it was such a pleasant surprise to see the bedrooms to feel like opulent suites- at about half the room rates at the TAJ hotel- the Druk will be our hotel of... I've been traveling to Bhutan since 1984 and have always stayed at the Druk in Thimphu. It has always been a good hotel, but its recent renovation has transformed it into the best hotel in Thimphu, and perhaps in the kingdom. And while it is now classified as an upgrade hotel, the upcharges are reasonable given the new standard they've... More
