Decent hotel...rooms fine(not great). Pool pretty cold. Views very nice. Quaint, but not up to the standards of the Relais Chateau group listing...which is a wonderful group of hotels around the world. The staff although they try is essentially clueless. They mean well but have insufficient training to carry out their jobs...even really simple ones like telling you how to walk... More

We stayed 2 nights here beginning of April before our 3 week holiday and 1 night at the end before we fly to Vic-Falls. It is a beautiful hotel on the top of a hill over looking Windhoek. It is the perfect place to prepare yourself for the holiday. The Terrence has a great view, we enjoyed some cakes, coffee,... More

Havn't stayed here lately but when we did we enjoyed our stay very much. Room big and clean, good small pool, nice touch Champagne breakfast. Only problem we had was cashing a travelers cheque for £20. After letting me sign it the receptionist said she did not have enough Namibian $ or SA Rand to cover £20. Would I like... More

It was quite Transylvanian to arrive at a castle late in the evening in the middle of an amazing storm after a tricky drive from the airport, but the reception was both friendly and hospitable. We were technically just on the late side for dinner, after a delayed flight, but there was no problem at all, and we had a... More

My partner and I arrived for dinner in the restaurant (Leo's) at the hotel having previously booked a table by email. Our booking had been accepted and the acceptance from the hotel pointed out that the dress code was smart casual. You can imagine our surprise when the restaurant manager said the very smart cut offs we were wearing did... More

We arrived at this hotel and the check in was quick and we where in our room in no time. This is all you want when you traveled for hours on end. The room was amazing, very spacious, elegant and the staff very friendly and always offering to assist. We opted to have dinner in their main restaurant and it... More

We spent one night at the Heinitzburg. It is in walking distance to some major attractions down town. We got a very nice. Manager of the hotel leaves nearby and is very friendly. Staff not authorized to help you. Cuisine is great but service especially not on Western High Cuisine standard. All in all good hotel for 1-2 nights in... More

For our trip around Namibia and then Botswana, we had to come back to Windhoek twice. Our travel agent, (we seldom use them but this trip needed a lot of information that we couldn't find), mentioned this hotel but didn't push, until we checked it out and then WE pushed! The first stay-over was the classic 'arrive late afternoon, refresh,... More

Wonderful hilltop situation, excellent service and cuisine. This family owned business well deserves its reputation as a one of the best places to stay or dine in Windhoek.

Making a reservation was a bit of a pain. Had to fill in a rather confusing form and send it back to the management. The hotel charges your stay to your card before you even arrive which makes correcting errors difficult. But once there, we were impressed with the beautiful rooms, the attentiveness of the staff, and the restful and... More
