I'm back again to this place, and found it somehow changed, more rooms, more people. Lost some of its genuinity, but still a good place to stay for the night, though. People are still friendly and you can cook your own meals.

Stayed here twice now, great location when travelling the area. Could be cleaner but its an auberge after all. Chilled little place. Rooms are ok, staff are great. Lots of sleeping options, met some great travellers here. Thoroughly recommended
Let me start with this: they have WiFi and with pretty decent speed.
Surprisingly hotels in Nouakchott are quite expensive average price being around 50€ and some don't even have Wi-Fi, so we decided to camp here for 2 days. Bathrooms are OK. They don't have a restaurant, but you can still order some dishes in the evening with a...

This is NOT in the luxury category! However, if you have driven this far, there is everything you need here to recover! Plenty of parking inside (secure) and outside (guarded). Cafes and shops opposite for anything you need. Don't be surprised, if it is busy, to be put in a "dorm" with other people. I've stayed here five times and...

The Auberge Sahara is located on the road to Nouadhibou, and well signposted so not hard to find. It caters to different budgets with a tent on the roof that costs near nothing to self contained rooms that I found rather expensive in case of single occupancy. It is quite some distance to the centre and to get there you...

Great location off the main high road. Auberge sahara is a great place to stay. We used it when taking part in a budget rally from England - Timbuktu and parked our car inside the compound. There is a great chill out area inside the main compound with a place to relax with other people. The dorm rooms are big...

If you are passing trough Nouakchott, this is a must to stay for the night.
In the middle of the main street and town, quiet and very nice place to stay.
People are friendly and wiling to help you.
Price is very good and we had an excellent meal.
This is a place were motorcycled hardcore travelers stop for the...

Auberge Sahara is not conveniently located, provides only intermittent wifi and has a serious bed bug problem in both the private rooms and the mattresses on the roof. When I complained about the bed bugs, the owner said, "Lots of people complain about them, but what can I do." I'd definitely recommend staying somewhere else.
