I stayed 2 years in and out there when there was no other choices in Bamako. The rooms are ok and after a while the crew are friendly. The pool was fine too. The down side was there is no business lounge and you get used to the restaurant menu after a week or so. I would recommended this hotel... More

Choosing hotels in West Africa is always a difficult task. If you have to be in Bamako then this is just OK and better than a lot of others in the region. Its classed as a 5 star but everything is well worn and seen better days. The property is tidy and clean. The bedrooms are spacious and power and... More

Well, staying here every overnight in Bamako. Generally acceptable and just slightly overpriced. Close to airport (less than 10$ for taxi). Good food in restaurant and brekfast is fine (no rotten yougurts or poisnous fish like somebody here wrote), much more better then in Radisson Blue. Several things that they should change: - flooring in the room requires change or... More

Stayed here last week for 3 days, and am in again for the weekend now. Am a regular as come to Mali a lot for work. Rooms are large and comfortable, big bed, slightly lumpy but comfortable nonetheless. Huge bathroom with good water pressure and shower over bath. Aircon works fine. TV has plenty French channels, an English movie channel... More

Spacious hotel - reasonably sized rooms - once refurbishment completed will be the hotel of bamako. Breakfast is weak so would recommend a coffee and croissant in the lobby.

Went to Mali for business and stayed at the Salam for 2 nights. By Mali standards, this hotel is quite grand. This hotel has a comfortable atmosphere, has large rooms and very nice bathrooms. The beds are a bit on the older side, but still comfortable. The bar area is a great place to chat and have a quick bite... More

We stayed in the Hotel Salam as a "day" room before our flight out of Bamako. When we arrived in Bamako, we had stayed two nights in the Hotel Grand, a sister hotel of the Salam. Everything in the Salam was beautiful but I felt souless. The Grand was much more personal and had charm. This would not be a... More

High quality hotel, with good rooms, a nice pool area and a good restaurant. I wouldn't ask for more in Bamako.

The rooms are a good size, quiet and the aircon works well. The service is better than expected and the staff friendly and attentive. Having said that, they do have a habit of ignoring you when there's no trolley around to carry stuff up to the room. The big, big downside here is the food. I stayed five nights and... More

For 3 consecutive years, my company has organised regional meetings in this hotel. For the 1st time, we were all booked to sleep also in it in Sept 2011. What's a delusion! On the 5th floor, rooms are large but carpets and equipments are old, excepted the large flat screen TV. It was not properly cleaned on a daily basis.... More
