Located conveniently in Monrovia, the Royal Hotel is not as Royal as it should be for 160 US$ per night. First room I had was nice with large room and large ensuite, king bed bar fridge and tv. Carpets could use a clean but sheets were clean and air-conditioning worked well. However, The place had a whole poor-maintenance feel to it. In saying that I would stay there again as the bed was comfortable and i felt secure.

Stayed here for one night in June. Nightly rate was c.$150. The staff were friendly and had good English. The room is very basic but clean. No elevators, old worn carpet and decor. It has air con which is good and a bathroom with shower . There are bars on the windows, which is as comforting as it is disquieting.... More

Ok, Hotel Review.  Royal Hotel in Monrovia represents surprising value for money. $150/night includes breakfast  and Laundry and free wireless Internet.  Run by Lebanese and staffed by a mixture of Lebanese and Liberians, they are helpful, polite and efficient.  Food is great value and offers great variety, including an amazing Japanese in house experience.
