I arrived without reservations and found a room. The hotel's staff was always very pleasant and accomodating. Lots of military types here - all seemed friendly enough. Good breakfast buffet (included in cost). There is a poolside bar as well as a small beachfront. Drinks inside are a little expensive, but everything in Djibouti seems to cost more than you'd... Great location, pool is lovely, however, Djibouti's not a great place to go. You can't really go to the market, or anywhere else for that matter. The county's poor and there are few if any tourist attractions. If you're in to scuba diving however, get yourself to Dolphin, good value and friendly service More

I feel there is not too much about Sheraton in this hotel. Service is okay but the building would need a large renovation. Location is the best possible, even if the beach area is not for swimming, because of plenty of rocks. The carpet in the pool area should be changed, now its awful. More

To be honest, this is one of the best hotels in Djibouti. There is NOT a lot of competition so the Sheraton makes sense because it is clean enough, safe and not bad for the price. Located right on the ocean and in a decent part of town. Although none of the city would be what anyone would call decent.... More

Sheraton Djibouti should probably change its name to something else. The hotel prides itself as the best in Djibouti but really falls way short of being even in the top 10. The property has a great location but the staff, rooms, decor and entertainment needs a serious overhaul. The management must have hired their relatives or worse. Professionalism is at... More

If it's your first time traveling to Djibouti, Sheraton is now truly the most cost-effective play to stay at. Sure service is not great, they don't follow SPG standards, cleaning services extremely slow, it may be noisy and internet... intermittent to say the least, but in Djibouti that's the best you can get unless you want to pay 4 times... We needed some comfortable time after exploring Ethiopia and Djibouti but the Sheraton was a deception on many points. The staff at the front desk is a true catastrophe with a rarely seen inefficiency, except for asking when you ... leave!! (phone call in the room at 10PM, 8.30AM and 11AM !). They were obviously quite anxious to have their... More

I'm not sure why there were such harsh reviews. I was very skeptical about staying here. Staff was curteous, rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lot to offer with a nice clean pool, lounge bar, patio and even a casino! Perhaps there has been a management turnover since the bad reviews. More

I was a little worried after reading all the bad reviews, but the Sheraton isn't so bad. They even helped me solve a dilemma at the front desk that gave me clues that they were fairly honest folk running the place. Yes, there are ripoffs. Do NOT figure on using their wireless internet. Expect to pay about ten bucks for... More
