120 euros for these hotel is way to much.
Basic rooms that would fit great in a 2 star hotel.
All the rest is fine, but rooms need to improve a lot.

Business related stay for 3 weeks in April 2012, this is a 4 star (???) hotel, supposedly the best on the island. The bed was very hard, like sleeping on the floor. The rooms were clean, the showers had good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was included, good variety, coffee is ok, juices , eggs, sausages, various cold cuts,...

The hotel is well situated, right by the sea. There is a good swimming-pool with wonderful sunlight exposure. The rooms are spacious, nice and clean, but a little dark. The staff is friendly and helpful and breakfasts are truly amazing. Everything is fresh and quickly refilled by a very discrete staff.
A nice stay.

Here on a three day work trip from the united states...beds leave a little to be desired, but do the trick...staff very friendly and accomodating...Internet by the hour is limiting...pool is cleaned by hand (witnessed this morning)..drinks at the bar are not outrageously priced...breakfast (included) provides more than expected in an elegant atmosphere. they are in the middle of renovations,...

I just really agree with this comment so I just repeated it. Praia is not the first destination in Cap Verde, which is a pity, because it is certainly one of the most authentic island. "The most african island of Cap Verde" was the comment we heard during a stay in a resort on a sandy beach island. Although it...

We only stayed here one night and ony because we couldn't face returning to the Oasis Atlantico Praiamar (see separate review) but there are only two 4 star hotels in town. As it was short notice there were only standard rooms available - a reasonable size but very dark and the outside seating are was very public. The bathroom backed...

We have just returned from a second trip to Cape Verde and to this hotel. Things to accept.
There are not so many choices in Praia. Here's what you get: a decent size room, a great looking relaxation area around a sea-water pool, a relaxed environment, decent but not great food, friendly but ineffective staff. Here's what you don't get:...

You are going to be disappointed.
No matter how low, lower them at least a couple of notches.
After all, this is a third-world country.
Even so, I was disappointed. Again and again.
Where do I start? How about the air conditioning? My room was a "suite," which means it was a bit larger than the average room. It also...

There is not much choice in the upper bracket in Praia, hence the proportionnaly heavy price tag. However, the hotel is quite nice, with good setup around the pool, pleasant staff, cool bar and decent breakfast. Only small drawback is the bathrooms, quite well-worn (tough clean).

It is clean, the staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms have everything you need, however, people should bear in mind that a 4* in Africa is different to a 4* in Europe or Asia. It is more like a 3*. Having said that I heard that it is the best hotel in the city of Praia.
