This was my favorite place during our 7-day safari (we also stayed at Kikoti, Sopa Lodge Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Farm House and Simuyi Mobile Camp - all wonderful places). It is well worth the drive, believe me! The rooms are beautifully appointed, the views from the restaurant, swimming pool, and terrace are stunning, the service was great and the food excellent.... The downside - it is a long drive & way off from the other resorts. Upside - ofcourse the package tours & groups are absent. Wonderful setting & architecture. The open layout & landscape makes it feel that you are the only person staying in the jungles. There is absolutely no barrier between man & animals! This is a nice... More

Really - our jaws dropped when we entered our chalet. They are 100% luxurious. We stayed at more modest properties on our honeymoon safari, and this was a whole different level. Every details of the property and the chalet's is incredible. Beautiful beds, furniture and the best bathrooms in the Serengeti with galvanized tubs, big open shower, soaps and candles,... More

Tented chalets are spectacular and honeymoon-worthy: wood floors, romantic four-poster bed, separate tub (handy for doing laundry) and shower, large balcony to watch the sun set. However some may be better than others: chalet #7 was private but trees partially obscured the balcony view, and chalet #8 had a nice view but could partially see into the next chalet (and... More

we didn't know what to expect given the long drive in. The location is simply stunning with game viewing possible from the breakfast balcony! The architecture is simple and very funky. The tented cabins are in name only.; very lux. The staff were very attentive and we particularly liked the massai escorts at nighttime so one wasn't on the menu!... More

Let me start by saying that this is great place indeed. The rooms are very nice and half tented (at least, our room was), which gives you the feeling of really being out in the bush at night. Decoration in the room is very tastefully done and the bathroom is just perfect. The rooms are well spread out around the... More

We stayed here one night and wished we could stay longer. The reception area is complete with a business centre with WiFi, the main centre with the terraced patio dining room, stunning lounge and pool area along with the Masai warrior escorts make for a truly amazing experience. We were pleased to have a fan, hair dryer and safety deposit... More

I stayed at Mbalageti for 2 nights during a recent safari trip. We were fortunate enough to be booked in one of the Executive Suites. The suite itself was amazing with a large outdoor deck and massive dining room area. However, at night, the room became quite warm and almost uncomfortable. Also, the electricity is shut off for a few... More

The Mbalageti Safari camp is well located and offers an amazing view of the Serengeti plains. We stayed in the Tented Chalets and the view was spectacular. Unfortunately, our timing was not good as the plains had a deserted look at this time of the year. We were suitably rewared with good game viewing when we drove to Serenora in... More

Mbalageti gets so many things right. Best bedding we've had on our safari trip in Tanzania and Kenya. The setting has a Texas ranch feeling to it...lots of wrought iron artwork, open air porches, stunning views over the vast expanse of the Serengeti plains. Then you're reminded you're in Africa with the warning you need a Maasai to walk you... More
