The lodge is spectacular in architecture, location and views. However, it seems outdated, poorly managed and despite its aspiration to luxury, our stay was rather uncomfortable.
The rooms are tiny, hot and stuffy. No mosquito nets. After repeated enquiries an annoyed employee was finally motivated to spray the room with a bug killer, which was really just a nice intention,...

We stayed 1 night at this lodge during our safari. The views are fantastic, we were able to see a great sunset. We enjoyed resting at the pool deck and watching the animals. The room was clean, a bit hot at night. The food was average but the drinks were good.

Rooms were recently renovated and comfortable. Food was good. Pool, sunrise and sunset were very scenic. Many animals nearby. Service was good.

Got a surprise upgrade to this lodge during our safari, and it lived up to its reputation. Views of the Serengeti from anywhere in the lodge are amazing, especially from the pool deck. Meals in the restaurant area were really great - wish we could have stayed for more than just one night. Definitely recommend as the first choice for...

So in case you didn't know, the Wildlife lodges were formerly government owned and therefore sport the best locations in each national park. Lobo is no exception.
However a few years ago they were sold to Indians who have renovated the rooms but have certain management issues. This lodge is the best run out of all te Wildlife lodges.

we stayed one night with 12 persons. managment quite inflexible on table setting. no hot water. when asked, reception adviced to let the water run which we had done. then they said they were going to send a technician to the room. later they phoned to say the problem was related to the hotel boiler and that a technician would...
