This was our day room hotel at the end of our Thompson safari-Zanzibar experience to wait several hours before heading to the airport for departure back home. This place is a dump. The rooms are awful, humid, musty smelling, and they smell of smoke and old freshener spray trying to cover up the cigarette smoke smell. They're dated and just... More

The Hotel is well situated for the airport, just 15 minutes by taxi. The staff were polite and friendly and the rooms were comfortable with air conditioning and free internet. The hotel kindly looked after our luggage whilst we went to Zanzibar for a few days as we were staying there again on our return. We had some problems however.... More

Stayed there - by now one 11 months ago - and when I am thinking of the hotel I just start to smile! We travelled in organizational-work and stayed in Dar for a week or so, and we found this hotel in a good price-range. The rooms are clean, the restaurant was the absolute best we ever visited in Tanzania... More

Located about a 5 min drive from the ferry port, and a short drive to the airport. There are lots of shops around the area, although as a single female traveller, I did not feel comfortable venturing out on my own. I was surprised how quiet it was in the room, seeing as how we are located on a busy... More

The location and the hotels own car service makes this a good location for those needing easy access to the Airport. However our driver got stopped by the police on the way from the airport and we were forced to swap into a completely non road worthy local taxi to complete our journey which was an interesting experience. On first... More

The hotel is located a convenient distance from the Dar Es Salaam airport, however, with the money you spend on taxi fare getting around, I would recommend staying at a hotel closer to the city or coast, you'll save on taxi fare. Room was standard and clean, the shower however was only enclosed by a shower curtain, so the bathroom... More

The hotel used to be the Tansoma Hotel, the old sign hasn't yet been replaced (March 2011), so the airport taxi driver took me to the Paradise City Hotel instead (same management, different location, more expensive), and I had to take a second taxi to find it. It is a joint African/Chinese managed venture, my room reminds me of hotels... More

The Paradise Express is the most conveniently located hotel in Dar for transit travelers as you don't need to traverse the city from the airport, which in peak traffic will take 2-3 hrs and is excelent value for money. Note this hotel is Muslim owned so no alcohol is served on the premises and the restuarant menu is fairly limited... More

I found this new hotel very conviniently located on the airport road, and just right the corner of the city centre which makes convinient for business travellers considering the traffic jams in dar es salaam. It has very confortable rooms, very clean and very helpful staff which makes value for money for the price of US$ 85 for the room... More
