Stayed 1 night during an organised tour of Morocco. The hotel looks good from the outside but the rooms and pool let it down. The hotel is in a good location with nice views over Meknes. The hotel was built in the 1920s and although retains much of its original character, appears to have had little maintenance in recent years.... More

Apparently the oldest hotel in Meknes and the only one with a 4 stars rating. View from the hotel over Meknes is nice and Service is ok. We had 2 connected rooms in the "New Building", large, clean and sunny. As the hotel was half empty, we did not suffer from any noice nuisance. 2 old style pools not very... More

The antithesis of its namesake in Casablanca; everything worked well, rooms were comfortable, excellent restaurant with a distant view of the medina, nice swimming pool. A very comfortable hotel. The only drawback was slow Internet connection.

I'm not sure on what basis it's a four star hotel!!!???, the hotel building is very old and not well maintained; having two pools with no kids area; laundry service was not available when I was there; breakfast is very bad and very expensive; there was no currency exchange service; we were big group made the booking based on a... Calling this a hotel would almost be comic if its wasn't so pathetic. Stayed here one night as it was one the towns (Meknes) where I had a business meeting and I left the booking to our local partners who advised that is was closeby to where we would have our meeting. In short, the place should be condemned. It... More

I stayed there for 2 nights at the end of 2 wonderful weeks travelling in Morocco with my wife, our daugther and one of her classmate, and staying in some really great places. That was the end of our trip and I was there to perform at the festival de Volubilis in Meknes. When we arrived the hotel seems of... More

Hotel Transatlantique claims it is a 4 star hotel but the rooms are really 2 marginal stars. I was really surprised at the quality of the rooms. Dark, dated rooms with old furnishings. There were only 2 small light bulbs -one next to each bed- to light the entire room so it seemed like a cave at night (and sometime... More

My friend and I spent $100 Canadian to stay here. First they put us in a really tiny room where the AC barely worked. We were a little surprised, but didn't say anything. We left for the day to do sightseeing and when they came back they moved us into a much, much nicer room. Breakfast is free, however it... More

The Transatlantique is set in beautiful grounds overlooking the old city. It is posible to walk to the old city but it is a fair distance. The room was located in the old wing and had a beautifully tiled floor and private balcony. The shower was in the bath and had no curtain. Worse still, the showerhead leaked so it sprayed... More

We stayed the night of October 22 here. It must have been a good hotel once, the buildings were big, but it now looks elderly and shabby. We had the impression that very little money was spent on maintenance, the furniture was tatty, the carpets were soiled and dirty. Breakfast was very basic. It is nominally a 4 star but... More
