We chose a riad as it was a first for us and we went with an open mind. It is a bit like living with friends for a few days as the house has a central atrium and you can hear what goes on around you. So beware if you plan a night of passion! The room was great and... More

This riad is just wonderful. Full of old world charm and beautifully kept. Thierry the french owner is a lovely character and was there every morning to greet us whilst we had breakfast. He always asked us how our previous day was and if all was OK. The rooms are just delightful. Everything was very clean and the beds comfortable.... More

First off, the riad was nicely decorated and the room we had was good. But it was downhill from there. When we arrived, we didn't know anything about the city, so we were hoping that there was a map. But there was none. We were told to wait for someone to come back, and an hour later, we were still... More

lovely place not far from everything. The host were very nice and helpful and we recommend this place for all its worth. Didnt have the chance to taste the dinner, but heard it was nice. It is calm and quite, because its not in the middel of the medina, but not far. We walked all the time from the sqaure... More

In total we have spent 6 nights at Dar Zouar and we can highly recommend it. The place itself is lovely, with spacious and nicely decorated rooms. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Good beds, good breakfast, nice roof terrace. The neighboorhood may look unsafe, but we actually liked it and felt completely safe. We preferred this area to... More

We stayed in Dar Zouar for 4 nights. The staff were very attentive and the rooms were simple but nice. Breakfast is pretty basic. If you want dinner (tagine) you need to book in advance. Restaurants locally serve local food. If you want something a little different, French food for instance, it's worth a cheap taxi ride to Gueliz. More

Only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer... The welcome and introduction by Thierry on arrival was great, very helpful. The room was lovely and had a nice homely feeling. The place had a lovely atmosphere - open, friendly and relaxed. The area surrounding is hectic, busy, fun... and a little intimidating.. but thats all part... More

We have recently returned from our third trip to this enchanting riad... and we are still loving it. Each time again we are amazed by the tranquility and peace and quiet this riad offers. As soon as you set foot through the door, the hussle and bustle of the medina seems to disappear and instead you are surrounded by silence... More

Brilliant hotel with lovely rooms, delicious breakfasts and very hospital staff. Special thanks to Mr. Thierry for his recommendations on where to buy the same tableware they have in the hotel =) The only negative point is location. But it's Marrakech and it's anyway a kind of chaos. More
