This review is a long time in coming, as I visited in August 2008. I will admit I was nervous going to Morocco, concerned that Americans would not be treated well. Still I opted to stay here, to experience a traditional stay. The hotel staff, possibly proprieter (do not recall his name), was wonderful. We were looking for a guide,... More

We stayed in this lovely Riad in Nov 2010, there were 7 females in our party. The location was just inside the Medina, so peaceful that you were totally unaware of the hustle and bustle of the market. Excellent views of the mountains from the terrace, I can imagine how lovely it would have been to have dined up here... More

There is absolutely nothing bad about this hotel: once you learn how to come back to the riad it is very easy to find it. The staff is just great: kind, bright, funny and friendly. The restaurant is great as well, with traditional (and delicious), Moroccan food. The breakfast changes every morning and you will be able to taste Moroccan... More

After a hassling trip from the station by the taxi mafia, we arrived in a paradise through the wall to sit and sip mint tea before registration The interior area is large and the staff were very helpful and incredibly discreet. Rooms are spacious if the floors a little uneven, to be expected after 700 years I guess. The Manager... More

My girlfriend at I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in February for our first trip to Morocco. This hotel is located inside the Medina and you must walk about 1000 feet through narrow, winding passageways from the road. We arrived in Fes after dark, so we were a little concerned when our cab driver got out... More

This really was a palace, as you discover entering the enormous central courtyard. Arriving at dusk is ideal, as the Moorish lanterns are lit, the fountain is on, and you are served tea in one of the many couches scattered around. Our suite was lovely, with two sitting areas and a gracious iron four-poster bed. The bath was tiny, even... More

I’m quiet familiar with the riads in Fes (I have visited many of them) and I should say that I’m really surprised by the large number of positive reactions. Marvelous Riad, but not the best one: Riad Fes (where U2 shouted a video clip last year) and Riad LALA Charifa are much nicer and better located... Their are of course... More

The hotel situation is in the middle of the medina which is a bit crazy. After having a walk in the old town it is nice to go back to what it looked like paradise. So authentically moroccan and peaceful. Staff was great and the restaurant serves fantastic food although not cheap. The terrace overlooks the whole medina, beautiful!!!! If... More

Descriptions of the suboptimal location are apt. You will need the escort that they provide to find it. You do NOT want to be wandering the medina in the dark trying to find this place. As they open the door to the interior, however, prepare to be amazed. We thought this was a beautiful place and was a truly memorable... More

The Riad itself is lovely. An 18th century palace converted to a riad. Our room on the first floor was just remarkable, with amazing decor. There is a hammam in this Riad which is well worth it...be sure to book one along with a massage. Great value for your money and you will be incredibly relaxed. The terrace is lovely... More
