The Riad les bains de fez tara was created from an authentic Riad in the heart of the old medina of FES. Some houses date back several centuries, FES is a city of more than 1200 years. The current owners, French, spent two years restoring this Riad into a charming guest house. They suggested to the artisans during its restoration, to combine modernism and Moroccan authenticity. This property fills these occupants with the comfort and well being of the place. The Riad TARA now has everything of a beautiful guest house, you stay in a single or double room or by renting the Riad in its totality, with services sought, to pass a pleasant stay.

I had the most wonderful stay at this riad. The owner and the staff make an awesome team and one could tell that they have been working together for many years. They make sure that you are feeling at home. The kitchen (breakfast and dinner) is excellent and authentic Moroccan. The location is perfect to experience life in the medina. My room was spacious, clean, and very tastefully decorated. Whenever I had a question or needed help with planning day trips the owner was more than happy to arrange them. He loves what he is doing and the guest feels it. I highly recommend this guest house.

Although the wonderful ladies that run the riad don't speak a lick of English, they really go out of their way to help you and to figure out what you need. I had no idea when I booked that the room we booked was all the way at the top of the building. My 82 year old mom really struggled with the steep and sometimes double height stairs. Yet the ladies helped us with luggage up to the room, ran out to get us when we arrived so we didn't get lost, and found us help for our luggage when we left. We ate two meals in the riad that were very good. One in particular was one of the better meals we had in Morocco. The room was very small and there was not much privacy. However, it was lovely. The courtyard has a lovely pool and we adored Tara the cat who seems to live in the courtyard. I would not hesitate to choose Riad Tara again, I might just pick a room that's not at the top!…

Fatiha was our host. We arrived quite late in the evening. She very kindly picked us up from where the taxi dropped us off. She then welcomed us with a lovely pot of mint tea and Moroccan sweets. During our stay she was very accomodating to our needs and always with a warm smile. Thank you Fatiha for your warm hospitality and should we visit Fes again in the future, we will certainly stay here again. Oh, there is also a beautiful Persian cat in the hotel.

Lovely place to stay at the edge of the fes medina, which makes it relatively easy to find (Do note that most places in the Fes Medina can be quite challenging to located). As it's located at the edge, there is a fantastic view of the Fes Media from the top floor. The place is run by a French couple who were extremely hospitable and accommodating during our stay.

We arrived late to Fes to be greeted by the manager of the Riad. Although she did not speak English, she was able to understand my French and provide us with a warm welcome and a nice unplanned dinner upon our arrival. She was so helpful during our stay that it truly was one of our best experiences while in Morocco. She arranged for a tour of Fes, transportation, a Hammam experience and massage and a dinner. The breakfasts were very nice, the room and Riad was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Our room had a quirky lay-out with a bathroom/shower that were downstairs from the bedroom. Given the service and comfort of the Riad Tara, I would highly recommend this destination in Fes.

We loved this riad because of their hospitality! This was our first night in Morocco and we flew in at 11pm at night, so because of this we wanted to make sure we had reliable transportation to Riad Tara. I emailed the host and he kindly quoted us $15 euros for the airport transfer. Our flight was over an hour delayed so we were concerned that our taxi driver would no longer be there but he waited for us which was a relief. He walked us all the way to the riad since it isn't easy to find without a map/GPS. The next day, one of the hotel staff walked us back out to the taxi area to make sure we found it okay. The rooms, the breakfast, the terrace were all wonderful as well!

Nice place to stay, close to one of the Medina doors (nearest access point by car after which there is a brief walk untill one manages to find the Riad...... Welcoming staff, however communicating in English might result challenging.

My wife and I booked an impromptu trip to Fez and stumbled across Riad Tara on TripAdvisor. We saw the reviews and decided to go for it having never been to Morocco before. We were so so so happy we did. Everything we needed was catered for, delicious mint tea on arrival, a sublime dinner and then the next morning the proprietor, Jim came down and gave us a lowdown of what to see and do around the town. A fountain of knowledge. We also decided to sample the spa and enjoyed an authentic hammam. So refreshing. We were only there for two nights but would go back in a heartbeat. Finally, Fatia the 'keeper' of the Riad was so welcoming and kind. We would literally have been lost without her. The wifi was also free and quick! Go and stay there!

Simply put, this Riad is THE place to stay while in Fes. We had the pleasure of enjoying Riad Tara for two nights and absolutely loved it. We essentially had the place to ourselves, the fist night it was just my boyfriend and I and on the second day a second couple checked in. Jim, the owner of the house made us feel so welcomed and comfortable saying that the house was ours to enjoy. The ambiance, comfortable stylish and very sizable rooms made our stay feel exceptionally luxurious. Tara, Jim's cat whom the Riad is named after was so sweet. Gently meowing and offering herself up for cuddles if you will have her. The two dinners we had at the Riad were plentiful and delicious. Don't hesitate on booking this Riad for your stay in Fes, it's a guaranteed win in our books!

Once you're used to finding your way it's a short taxi ride to the medina.. Btissam is a fountain of local knowledge and goes out of her way to help and accommodate all your needs,The riad is stunning, all the rooms are beautifully furnished with some great paintings and sculptures.A very personal collection to be enjoyed by all.The highlight of my stay there was the wonderful hammam experience the best ever!!Due to bad weather during the festival week we spent more time at the riad and i so loved doing my yoga practice on the roof top..
