This is huge mansion with a coverd patio in its center. Rooms are located around it on two floors. There is a very nice terrace with great views on top. Rooms are large, clean and tastefully equipped. Bathrooms are good, as is the location, a short walk to the souq. However, best of all is the owner, Chantal, a loveley... More

Dar al-Safadi, the carefully restored house owned by Chantal, is a treat in every way. A 'budget' world-traveler all my life, this was perhaps the most luxurious place I've ever been in so I fully enjoyed the hedonist pleasures of the traditional house in the Fez medina. We were three couples from Canada visiting the Sacred Music Festival for a... More

We had planned this trip for a couple of months for my birthday celebration. We reserved all the Riads in different cities around Morcco but we still had to find a descent Riad in Fes. After many requests for reservations in different Riads and being rejected for being fully booked, I found Dar Al Safadi here in Tripadvisor. At first... More

You can't do better than this riad for the price. We were the only guests for four days, enjoying every part of this beautiful traditional Arab home and welcoming staff. Our suite was large and comfortable, with wifi in the courtyard. The rooftop terrace, with lounges, tables, and bouganvillia, shows the rooftops of Fes from morning til night. The sounds... More

By viewing the photos, we already knew that this place had a very ornate decor, furniture/structure somewhat dated. From prior reviews, many had said that the dinner is very good. I was sure to sign up for dinner w/ Chantal! The location wasn't too bad, about a 10 minute walk to the Medina. w/ that said, the location can be... More

We stayed here for three nights as part of a week's trip to Morocco. The riad is very beautiful. The patio is stunning with many palatial features. Our bedroom was a very good size, beautiful decor with room for seating and a huge bathroom with shower. Chantal and her team make you feel very welcome and provide a very high... More

I can only confirm all the remarks done in the other reviews; what i can add beyond the nice words referring to the beautiful place with the kind madame Chantal is the professional way of handling request for guides / taxis etc. and this for very moderate prices. This is also true for the delicious breakfast and diner. An extra... More

First things first: all the guide books say this and it's definitely true: the Medina in Fes is very tricky to navigate and it might be a bit daunting trying to find this riad (or any riad in Fes, for that matter). I called the riad and spoke to the owner Chantelle who told me where to get a taxi... More

Perfect in every way! I can not speak more highly of Dar Al Safadi and Chantal the wonderful owner. My partner and I stayed four days at the riad in which time we were treated to Chantal's kitchen. Be sure to book ahead so she can arrange a wonderful 5 course dinner for you in the beautiful courtyard, even though... More

On arrival in Fez, we were picked up by the owner, Chantal and taken to the Riad Dar Safadi. A newly restored house built around a magnificent courtyard with a fountain - our room was adjacent. The furnishings are truly beautiful, amongst these we noted some gnawa musical instruments which came to life when we were treated to an evening... More
