We were met at Fez airport by Dar Houdou's taxi and taken right to the door in the midst of the Medina. Greeted by Steve with a right nice cup of tea and plenty of advice on where to go, what to do.. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast and after three weeks in Morocco we looked forward to... More

I was in Fez as a single female traveller and although Fez is great for single exploring, it was made even better by the excellent hospitality at this lovely Dar. Steve, Mohammad and Sadia made me massively welcome, fed me fantastic breakfasts and arranged transfers for me. The house is delightful and beautifully restored and the sun terrace is a... More

My boyfriend and I stayed with Steve and Mohammed for 3 days in Fes a few weeks ago. Steve was such a great guy, corresponded with us very promptly via email and then had the perfect greeting after getting off a flight, tea and biscuits! Over the next few days he was such a great host and went above and... More

Fantastic little riad in an excellent location for medium / budget travellers. Superbly restored - tasteful blend of contemporary and traditional Moroccan interior design. Very nice relaxing atmosphere - felt very much at home. Breakfast was delicious but did miss the Morrocan pancakes we had at other places. Had a really great stay - even extended it by two days... We spent two nights here and found it to be a very quiet place with a central location. The Riad's owner was in Britain but his assistant, Mohammed, was very helpful. We arranged to have a driver pick us up, based on emails from the owner, and we are glad that we did as this Riad would have been impossible... More

Arriving at Dar Houdou after passing through Bab bou-Jouloud in the midsts of the characteristic hussle and bustle of the medina felt like a welcome home-coming. Both Mohammed and Saida were hospitable and took excellent care of me during my stay. I highly recommend the room at the top with its almost exclusive use of the terrace and view of... More
