We are business travelers and stay in hotels over 100 nights a year. I can judge a property fairly well by how clean the public/common areas are. Nothing spectacular except for the breakfast! Room had a heating/air conditioning unit that worked well but was a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Clean and the staff was very friendly!

Very nice hotel, all of the people were very friendly, room was very clean and the breakfast had several options to choose from. Would stay there again if passing through.

The Comfort Inn is very clean and the front desk staff was professional and efficient. We stayed a night primarily because the hotel has semi-truck parking. The property is older, but well-maintained and clean. Wifi worked great, and there were a good number of choices for the complimentary breakfast. On the downside, there is no elevator to the second floor, and no guest laundry.

The Comfort Inn in Ames, IA is conveniently located about a mile off I-35. The lobby, room, and pool areas are inviting and quiet. I found their pillows especially comfortable. Arragements were made for me on business. This hotel is a mid to low end brand, so don't set your expections to high on this one. However, the room is clean it has and updated tv and ac, a small fridge and a microwave. Not bad
