A nice place for a stopover. Clean and comfortable. However, very expensive - $133 a night for regular size king without even a small fridge. Could have stayed on ocean for a better price. $69 would have been more like it. Very friendly service though. Hot water is luke warm at best. Be prepared to shiver in bath or shower.

We arrived late and left early as we on our way home and this was a place to stop for the night between two long days of driving. We stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels for all but two nights of our 2 week trip. This is a nice clean hotel--typical of what we expect from a Holiday Inn Express...

This Holiday Inn Express is clean and the employees are very friendly. As always, the breakfasts are great. We'll be back when we are in the area.
We stayed at this location on our way from Colorado to Michigan. We found it quiet and comfortable.

We stayed here for 3 days. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was nice(pancakes, meat choice, cereal, rolls)We played in the pool everyday and always had it to ourselves.
The location is close to Adventureland. It is one of the first places you see when you are heading to Des Moines from the east. We were only...

After our first night, we woke up finding bug bites on our son. We weren't sure at first to where he would have gotten them, but then my husband found a bug in our bed! He showed it to the front desk and they moved us into another room. Once we got in the new room, I found a water...

Nice rooms & quiet, convenient location, generous & varied breakfast, clean & well-supplied pool & exercise room.
the good: great location for Adventureland, clean, indoor pool, fairly nice rooms--up to normal standards of Holiday Inn Express
the bad: key cards were a nightmare, front desk did not activate either of my cards and de-activated randomly (and were never near my other credit cards or cell phone). Other members of our party had similar problems. "Hot breakfast" was...
