Around the hotel was a beautiful garden and big mountains and the wonderful Lake Atitlan just a few minutes walk from the hotel. I had a nice room with a new shape on my towel every
morning.

We were driving from El Salvador and needed a hotel with secure parking while we visited the Atitlan area. We also chose this hotel because of the hot tub and sauna. It was Semana Santa and very busy - the hotel provided a safe environment even though the main street, artesan stalls and easter activities were going on right outside...

I did not stay at this hotel but visited their thermal baths. Great location right in the middle of things and the ambiance was great. Wished I would have gotten a look at their rooms. Magical and quiet place at night.

I was traveling with my husband in Guatemala with a group. When we got to Lake Atitlan, the group was scheduled to spend two nights with native families in San Jorge La Laguna. We opted out of this "challenge"" and booked ourselves into Regis Hotel in Panajachel which was not too far from San Jorge where the rest of the...

I stayed here recently, my third stay at this hotel. This is a great place, centrally located, safe and convenient. The rooms are fine, and the grounds are particularly beautiful, with flowers and birds, and a wonderful spa area. My favorite hotel in Panajachel. One caution - if you book online, you will get a fairly expensive breakfast included; avoid...

I lived at the lake for 3 months in 2010 so how I missed seeing this hotel still baffles me. However, when I wanted to visit with my partner I knew that Panajachel was the most convenient place to use as a base. Hotel Regis is perfect. It is right on the main street yet is far enough back that...

Hotel Regis is a great place to stay when in Panajachel. The price was right ($61) and the location was amazing. It is right in the center of Pana, just off of Santander (the main street insofar as tourists are concerned). However, it is behind a bunch of buildings and far enough off of the street to be really quiet....

The location is central and the staff was helpful but the rooms were horrible smelly fromt he cleaning detergents, the bathroom was old didn't dare to shower there, the beds were old and the room felt like a louzy dorm in a hostel. The hotel is very pricey for what it has to offer. The breakfast was ok and affordable.
