I had wanted to visit Lamanai Outpost for the last 5 years and with all the hype about how amazing things were, expectations were high. Stayed for two nights with three other friends and we crammed so much into a short stay but every minute was memorable. The place seems to run on autopilot, a testament to good management. Staff... This very nice lodge in the middle of Belize is nice enough with good rooms, a nice restaurant and bar and good views over the lake. But above all it has location - it's the only place to stay that's close by the Lamanai Mayan ruins, and gives you unprecedented access to this historical gem. Individual cabins with nice touches... We just had a week long trip here, and are writing this review with trepidation. Mainly because it was such an exceptional place, and we don't want it ruined by a ton of tourists overextending the experience. We went with 40+ friends- taking over the lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a remote location, but the staff is... More

I cant say enough about my stay at Lamanai. The staff was so friendly, the guides were a wealth of knowledge, and the food out of this world. Everything from the boat ride down the New River, to the Howler monkeys was a fabulous experience. Thanks to George, Blanca, Nathan, and Edwardo. I had an adventure of my life. The... More

Do you want to be immersed in nature and Mayan culture, but also have creature comforts? Paradise found. Lamanai Outpost Lodge is perfectly poised and outfitted to provide for primal and modern needs alike. We were picked up at the airport and whisked away by van by the personable guide, Ruben, who pointed out birds and other attractions along the... More

We just left this beautiful eco lodge in the middle of Orange Walk in the beautiful country of Belize! The trip (if you chose) starts with an hour boat trip/scenic ride/educational tour up the New River. Once greeted and brought to your very quaint and spacious cabin, you can wander up to the bar and dining area to start to... More

We spent 4 nights here at the end of our trip to Belize. Your adventure starts with an amazing boat trip deep into the interior of the country. The cabin was very well appointed and we didn't miss the air conditioning at all - there is always a breeze coming through the shutters. The food is excellent, almost too much!... More

Lamanai was a wonderful experience, from communicating with Ellen Howells in the States to being picked up at the airport and driven to the boat for the speedy and exciting ride up the New River to the lodge. We went from snow in New England to arrive in sun, greeted by a group of fellow tourist sunbathers on the dock... More

We bought a 3-night package with all meals and six activities included. The activities were great and really made this a memorable trip. We chose the night nature walk, the spotlight boat trip at night, the canoe trip at dawn, the jungle dawn walk, the trip to the Maya Ruins, and the cocktail boat cruise. We arrived late in the...
