We booked a 6 night stay at Thatch Caye and cannot believe how fast it went. We arrived towards the end of the busy season, so we spent much of our time enjoying almost solitude on the island. Only engaging other couples at meal times. It was a true getaway. The casita with roof top hammocks and ocean view was... More

Thatch exceeded our expectations all around. Diving, snorkeling, swimming, meals, cabanas over water, the bar and of course, great staff. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 12 & 13. We all enjoyed the kayaks, sail boat and wakeboards. Lots of places to explore on the island and nearby reefs. The kids tried discovery scuba and quickly... More

When you find a hotel enlisted in the Tablet group of hotels, you expect quirky, boutique modern and design hotels, very far away from the hotel chains experience. What you find in Thatch Caye is all that and at the same time nothing of that, because Thatched Caye is unique. I have been in almost 70 countries and literally 100s... More

We enjoyed our stay at Thatch Caye Resort very much. The service was excellent and the resort and ocean views were beautiful. We were the only divers at the resort that week, so we were spoiled with our own dive boat that included a fabulous dive master and captain. The diving was incredible! We saw nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays,... More

I was lucky enough to spend a week at Thatch Caye in Nov 2012. Coming all the way from Australia I arrived on this magical island and immediately felt relaxed. Every moment was memorable from the beautifully presented and tasty food through to the smiling faces of the staff every day. I cant wait to go back.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our 4 days at Thatch Caye in February; after 4 days spent in an awesome jungle lodge near the Guatemalan coast, we were ready for sand and surf. The setting is lovely, the staff exceptional, and the food excellent. We loved our little cabana and lounging in the hammocks. We took some great... More

Thatch Caye was just perfect for us. We arrived at Thatch Caye for the final four days of our two week holiday in Belize after 4 days at a jungle resort and 5 days on Ambergris Caye (where we got married) and the intention was that our final stay at here would be our "honeymoon". This proved to be great... More

It's not like we get to vacation on man-made, eco-islands every day...what an amazing experience from start to finish. So tranquil and relaxing, we loved it! Only took 1 night to kind of acclimatize to the nocturnal sounds of the over-the-water bungalow experience (the waves and the breeze in the thatch of the roof, for example). "Scheduled" meal times (i.e.... More

My husband and I just spent 10 days here, escaping Oregon's winter for a warm and wonderful week on the Caribbean. The staff at Thatch Caye Resort, from the minute we met up with "Big D" at the Dagriga Airport, saw to it that we were completely satisfield with our time there. The staff really MAKE this place.
