I stayed here with a couple friends in early March. If you're going to hit the jungle region of Belize, this is the place. We were focused on all the outdoor activities that make Belize unique-- horseback riding, kayaking, caves, etc. Staying somewhere where the staff/management know the area inside and out makes a huge difference. We had a fantastic... More

This was my first vacation alone, as I could not find anyone who could go with me this year. I was not sure what to expect. No worries!! Allie, Arran, Brad and Amy made me feel like family. Belize is a feast for the senses. The air smelled fresh, the water at the falls was crystal clear, the orchids, butterflies,... More

It's one of those places that words can't really do it justice. I'm a terrible person for remembering names, so will apologize upfront if I get anyone wrong including spelling. Our adventure started when Arran picked us up at the airport. Couldn't miss the big guy, who had front center spot outside the terminal. Our names on a big card... More

After a lengthy booking process we were excited to come to MET with all the adventures that we had lined up. They have a booking service in the states that is in direct contact with the staff so they want to make sure they know what you want to do so it's painless when you get there. We scheduled a... More

Perfect place for city folk like us who want to spend active vacation, don't mind a few bug bites and sore butts from horse riding, but also require hot showers and comfortable beds. If I said we became friends with the owners and staff, it would be an understatement. We really felt part of the family. And our 8-year old... More

What an amazing place. MET was the highlight of our trip to Belize. The staff are great and made us feel so welcomed. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. The horseback ride, ruin and cave tours were such unique experiences. I loved that the kerosene lamps in the cabanas- but you can also charge items in the main lodge. Just walking... More

Booked with MET after reading the review on the BBC travel website. Glad I did. It tops the list of non-urban vacations for the mix available. The weather is perfect, at least in early January. It is a small resort—accommodating up to 24 people—which allows for a familial experience. We got to know, owners, staff and visitors alike. The variety... More

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. You have described the rooms and the activities so well and I’m sure many readers will find your comments useful. I sometimes find it hard to describe, and that is one of the reasons I so appreciate our guests writing about MET, you said it far better... More

MET is a "rustic jungle lodge". As such, you will be staying in cabins that are not in any way sealed from the jungle. Expect to be sharing your room with any and all bugs and critters that want to join you during your stay. Praying mantii (spelling?), large spiders, geckos, etc. were some of the many creatures that i... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We really appreciate the kind things you said. We will look at our advertising to make sure guests understand what they are getting prior to arrival. We are located in the rainforest, we call ourselves a jungle lodge, and it is not a bug-free environment. I am very... More

Having spent a month in Belize, Cay Caulker, Placentia, Crooked Tree, and The Cayo district. the experience was like eating a cake of many layers. MET, was the icing on that wonderful cake. The setting is magnificent. The food delicious, fun and varied. We got to help cooking one night and were able to add to a already fabulous menu, what... More

I had guest visiting me from the states ( I live on Ambergris Caye) and they wanted a jungle experience. A friend suggested we stay at MET. It was the perfect experience on sooo many levels. The Bevis family were outstanding host. Our cottages were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is breathtaking, the food was delicious... More
