Yes, this is a poor third world country. Yes, the lodge is in the middle on nowhere. But it is incredible. One of the best experiences we have had. We were met at the airport by a driver with fruit, cookies, and water and driven the 2.5 hours to the lodge. The last hour on a very rutted, pot hole... More

Okay, the place is owned by the burned out director, Francis Ford Copola...big deal. They pick you up at the airport and take you for FOUR hours thru squalid slums and the last hour and a half on an unpaved road that is full of boulders, ditches, bumps, bumps, BUMPS. When you FINALLY get there they give you a little... More

We stayed here and at the Coppola Resort in Placentia. Both have beautiful landscaping and very attentive staff. We traveled with another couple and stayed at a two bedroom Villa at both destinations. At Blankenaux we stayed at the villa used by the Coppolas. While it was lovely architecturally, the advertised wi-fi was essentially non-existent. You would get a connection... More

Thank you for visiting Blancaneaux Lodge and Turtle Inn. While we are thrilled our staff was a highlight of your trip, we're sorry to hear we fell short of delivering on expectations. We apologize for the issues with our wi-fi. Unfortunately, some of our equipment had been damaged during a recent storm and was under repair. It is now back... More

Blancaneaux is the most amazing place we have stayed - and we have been to many wonderful places aroud the World. Rina at the reservations was very efficient and super helpful. Geraldo is the most informed of all guides and took us to Caracoal and to the barton Creek Caves. Get a Villa - 7 is where Mr. Coppola stays... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It was our second visit. The best feature is the staff. Although it had been two years, they remembered us! No turnover: it was all the same friendly people we remembered. My wife loves the horses and the stables best, while I like looking for birds along the stream that runs... More

The staff at Blancaneaux spoiled us rotten and it will be hard to stay anywhere else after we were treated like such royalty there. There were many more staff than guests and they made you feel like part of the family. The location was beautiful, nestled in a pine forest but with tropical plantings to remind you that you were... Our stay at Blancaneaux exceeded our expectations by far!! Loved it!! The sevice and staff was awesome. BUT, this was very different then any other vacation I have taken and had to adjust to the lack of some conviences. Be warned though. This is a 5 star resort at the top of the mountains. No need for a gym at... More

The journey to reach Blancaneaux Lodge was over a bumpy dirt road, but this time allowed me to learn more about Belize. The resort is one of the most beautifully landscaped tropical resorts I've ever visited. With the waterfalls as a backdrop, every corner and turn seems to be groomed to tropical perfection. The stone terraces and walkways that traverse... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Blancaneaux. Yes the road up to resort is bumpy, but all good things come sacrifice. If you make the trip to Belize visit the Mountains. Its worth it. The room we stayed at was the honey moon suite. Plunge pool was great and very private. Outdoor shower was wonderful. Temps were very nice at... More

We spent 3 nights at Blancaneaux and it was definitely quite the experience. The jungle lodges are amazing and the service is incredible. However, if you are looking for ultra luxury and comfort at every step this may not be the place for you. The road to the resort is awful.. I had read that it was a bumpy ride... More
