Our stay at Blancaneaux exceeded our expectations by far!! Loved it!! The sevice and staff was awesome. BUT, this was very different then any other vacation I have taken and had to adjust to the lack of some conviences. Be warned though. This is a 5 star resort at the top of the mountains. No need for a gym at... More

The journey to reach Blancaneaux Lodge was over a bumpy dirt road, but this time allowed me to learn more about Belize. The resort is one of the most beautifully landscaped tropical resorts I've ever visited. With the waterfalls as a backdrop, every corner and turn seems to be groomed to tropical perfection. The stone terraces and walkways that traverse... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Blancaneaux. Yes the road up to resort is bumpy, but all good things come sacrifice. If you make the trip to Belize visit the Mountains. Its worth it. The room we stayed at was the honey moon suite. Plunge pool was great and very private. Outdoor shower was wonderful. Temps were very nice at... More

We spent 3 nights at Blancaneaux and it was definitely quite the experience. The jungle lodges are amazing and the service is incredible. However, if you are looking for ultra luxury and comfort at every step this may not be the place for you. The road to the resort is awful.. I had read that it was a bumpy ride... More

Although it is a challenging ride to the property, it is well worth the trip. The accomodations are beautiful and the staff was attentive and helpful from the moment we arrived. The continental breakfast was a treat and coffee was delivered promplty when requested from the "shell phone". We had tasty boxed lunches prepared for our day trips and knowledgable... More

I loved it. It is a very different experience than the Four Season's Tented Camp and a fraction of the price. I really enjoyed it. Its hard to compare the two resorts since they are really different and priced really different. This does not include your activities and food. The drive to the resort is annoying but the key is... I could not be happier with our stay at the lodge. The bumpy ride from the airport was tough (despite having a great driver), but once we got there it was more than worth it. The honeymoon Cabana is beautiful with the view and the sound of a waterfall. The staff is attentive, courteous and respectful. The food is a... More

Our excursions were perfect...Anastacio for the Caracol Mayan tour had such passion and Theodore for the Barton cave tour... More

It's been almost a year since my wife and I traveled there, and I hesitate to write this, as mom always said that if you can't say anything good about someone/something... We tend to travel to the best of the best (see my other reviews), and to be honest, the lodge wasn't up to our usual standards. If I'm honest,... More

I am writing this review VERY late! My husband and I spent four wonderful days here for our honeymoon back in June of 2010. This resort has spoiled all other resorts for us! I don't think anything else could compare. Strongly recommend for honeymoons, eco-minded tourism, or any kind of getaway. I also recommend doing the honeymoon package which is... More
