How is he/she Dylan still remembers the meeting. Thank you for your hospitality, it was wonderful meeting you and sharing your lovely home. We did have problems getting out with our Mexican rental car, but the guys pulled Tim up and off we went, but hope to see you again and stay longer. The food was very good, the cool... More

We stopped by this wonderful resort as part of a river tubing excursion we were on. We picked up our tubes and had a short hike up the river past cow pastures and unexcavated Mayan ruins. The excursion was fun, and I can imagine that if we stayed we'd definitely take advantage of the free tubing! After our water adventures... More

WE had an amazing time on a two night stay at this very clean, refreshing eco jungle lodge. Ron and Al are multitalented, providing spectacular food and stories that we will remember for a lifetime. You will have a blast birding, hiking and river tubing. Too bad we couldn't stay longer! Ask for the decadent Cake. More

We had friends visiting from Washington State and as we are in the middle of building a house, decided to go somewhere for some peace and quiet. We picked Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge - that was such a good choice. The tranquility was heavenly and the home cooked meals were wonderful. The cabanas are situated perfectly for privacy. In the... More

We rented a car from the airport and it took about two hours. I would recommend a 4x4 in case it rains - the roads off of San Ignacio are not paved. The place is remote, which we loved. The grounds were surprisingly wonderful and well cared for. The owners have carved trails through the thick jungle which I am... More

The Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge is unique, scenic & it's hosts very accommodating. Restaurant is cool, relaxing & very natural.I like that fact that there's a small library of books. Food exceptional & pleasing to the eyes. At night the mood is cosy with it's touches around the grounds. When it's time to tuck in,the cabins are comfortable, love the stone work in... More

Macaw Bank Lodge is the reason our stay in Belize was so magical. I came here with my boyfriend for 4 nights in March. We ended up having the whole place to ourselves, which allowed time to get to know Ron, Al, Talulah, and Henry. On the first day, Ron picked us up from the airport and gave us a... More

I just got back from Belize and had a wonderful time at Macaw Bank lodge. The hosts were very nice, the cabins were lovely, and the setting is a bird-watcher's dream. They are great cooks, too, and catered to our tastes and dietary constraints. (I'm a vegetarian.) Ron was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and was happy to... More

Thank you for taking your valuable time to write us a review, and an excellent one at that !! For this we are very grateful ! However, I must address the spotty water comment. We have well here that yields at least 17 gallons of potable water every minute. That is the maximum the pump will produce. It seems someone... More

I would highly recommend Macaw Bank due to the beauty of the grounds, pleasantness of the rooms, and hospitality of the owners. One of the owners, Ron, helped us with planning our trip, arranging tours, giving advice on local activities, showing us around the property, and was a source of much valuable information about the area. The highlight of our... More

If you have an adventuresome spirit and the idea of spending sometime in the jungle appeals to you, you owe it to yourself to spend several days at the Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge. You'll definitely want a 4wd if you're going to make the drive yourself, (may I mention I was totally satisfied with my rental from Jabiru in Belize... More
