We spent three nights at Anchorage Resort in March 2012. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The grounds are expansive - with a volleyball and basketball court, the beachfront area is large and places you right in front of the sea, the hammocks hover above the sea, and the staff is very helpful. Yes, the rooms are a bit rustic and old,...

Good place, but needs a bit of TLC. We asked to change rooms (from 25) because of the terrible drain smell in the bathroom – second room (21) much better. Well located about five minutes walk from the town centre and pretty quiet. Five minutes to the water taxi terminal, five minutes walk along the beach to the airstrip. Has...

We spent 3 nights at the Anchorage resort which is located in a quiet spot a bit of the beaten track and therefore very quiet. This hotel has no restaurant but there is a hut where one can get coffee and/or tea and at the reception beer and sodas are sold.
The rooms are nice in size and well appointed...

I climbed into bed that night and found a bunch of sand where my feet were in the sheets. Apparently the people who stayed in that room the night before got into bed with sand on their feet. I felt pretty disgusted to be sleeping in the same sheets and somebody else when the management told me the room was...

comfy rooms, for when you're not on the beach, cruising front street or snorkeling/diving. Dock service, nice cabana, sandy beach with hammocks for resting and relaxing... what they do best on Caye Caulker.

For our honeymoon, we chose a jungle/island combo in Belize. Due to heavy rains inland, we left for Caye Caulker a day earlier than what we originally planned.
We had already booked Barefoot Beach for our original intended stay, but they were booked the day we arrived early. We walked down the beach a little further and came upon Anchorage...

We spent 3 nights at the Anchorage. We reserved online because it was during the week of December 23 and we wanted to make sure we would have a room. We reserved this hotel because nothing else was available online and we were assuming it would be great since it was described as a resort and also because the reviews...

We stayed in a room on the ground floor and it felt like we were completely separate from the other rooms. We rented a golf cart one day and were able to drive right up to the door of our room! If you are looking for a get-away location then this is the spot! The hotel is situated so that...
