Far from luxurious, but I can’t complain (much) – I wasn’t looking for luxury when I booked. My room was adequate, clean in all the places that mattered, large, but definitely a bit rough around the edges, almost with the feel of a rough-and-ready mountain lodge for the 21st century. My bed mattress felt rather cheap and worn out though.... More

Stayed at this lovely hotel on our road trip from LA to Denver . Great staff who knew the area so well , and gave us some tips on what to see weather etc . The room was great , beds comfortable and a great sitting area downstairs with an open fire . Breakfast was one of the best we... More

I was able to walk the few blocks into Aspen, even quicker than the free shuttle bus would take to arrive (every 10 mins). The inside of the lodge is very much like motel units with a charming internal fire place. There needs to be a little more organisation at the front desk. The room was OK but the bathroom... More

My wife and I stayed two nights in the Aspen Mountain Lodge and found it ideal for our purposes. It was within a few minutes' walking distance from the centre and was welcoming and comfortable. Staff were helpful, the room was spacious and clean and the included breakfast was one of the best we have found in this kind of... More

This hotel is not right next to the gondola, however it is right on the bus line which will drop you off in front of the gondola. It's where I put my parents when they came to town, as I live in Aspen. It has great beds, all white linens, a wonderful breakfast, really nice rooms, not huge, but a... More

We were looking for a reasonable priced place to stay in Aspen during the off-season. We had not yet made a reservation, but spoke to someone by phone who quoted a rate of $139/night. When we arrived in Aspen, we were pleased with the hotel's location. We inquired about the rate we were quoted and mentioned that we were considering... More

They do a good job trying to make an aging hotel acceptable. And for Aspen the $200 price tag can seem reasonable... But unless you have no choice, skip it. And if you do stay and have more than 2 people in the room beware of the $20 pp addition for a very basic continental breakfast.

We were a bit concerned with noise since the hotels sits right on busy Main St., but we got an upper floor room at the back which mitigated the problem somewhat. We got a 3 nights for the price of 2 deal just before Labor Day that also helped. Pros: desk staff very helpful, towels were great, breakfast was included... More

We just stayed there and it was ok. For the money ($209/night when manyothers in town were $300+/night) it was ok. It was clean, and there was a decent shower (nice water pressure-which is a big deal to me). The staff was so-so when it comes to being friendly and helpful. The location was better than staying in Snowmass (better... More
