Having a nice hotel to stay at in Arcata will make my work and travel much more efficient as I have always stay in Eureka before. It is indeed the nicest place to stay in Arcata, and the most expensive, with standard rooms running about $130-160 a night. The WiFi is dependable but hardly warp speed, housekeeping and the rest of the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the indoor pool and gym are terrific and unexpected. Had to travel to the Eureka area for a business conference. Parts of Eureka are a little "shady", and I was wary of staying someplace I wouldn't feel safe by myself.
