Small and quaint boutique hotel located 45 minutes walk away from the White House. The rooms were a good size and shower heads were huge with nice pressure. One thing I loved was the complimentary K-cups and Keurig coffee maker! Room service was prompt and staff friendly.

I recently stayed at the Carlyle Suites on Dupont Circle in Washington DC (May 16-20, 2012). The staff was uber friendly and location was walking distance to almost everything. What i didnt like was that my room was on the 2nd floor right under the garbage place so I couldn't sleep-in the mornings.

Had no clue where my husband had booked us for 10 days...wanted a kitchen so we didn't have to eat bkfst.lunch& dinner out each day. The Carlyle is not a 5-star hotel, but it is exceedingly clean and well-managed. Location is just a couple blocks off Dupont Circle. Just spent three nights at the Carlyle Suites in DC. The rooms were very large, and included a desk, pull out sofa and large TV. The bathroom was also large, with granite countertops.
