What a beautfiul, unexpected grace in the middle of DC. The staff was helpful, the lobby was breath-taking. We had upgraded to a suite which felt more like home than my own house! WIth a fireplace, secretary, big screen TV, chairs and couch, I wish I had planned more time in the hotel! We had a cot brought in for... More

This fabulous hotel was right in the middle of everything! The Farragut North Metro stop was right on the corner. Just a few stops and you were at China Town or Union Station. The Smithsonian and the National Mall are but a short Metro ride away. The hotel itself, well, it was great! It is beautiful, the staff is friendly... More

Because of its history, elegance, service and charm this hotel deserves the "excellent" rating. Just back from a 5 day, 4 night stay. Superb location, a walkable 5 blocks to the White House. Almost everythings is a $9 to $12 taxi ride away. We were upgraded to an executive suite (room 583) which was spacious and clean. Superlative customer service... More

The Mayflower is a historic hotel. However, it is such a large hotel that any stay is very impersonal; the place was always bustling with proms, conventions, etc. The rooms are cute but very small and awkwardly situated. We stayed for two nights. Most disappointing is that there is no free internet in the room. Most hotels offer free wired... More

This hotel was in the heart of it all. Walking distance to all the sightseeing venues and close to food. Was impressed by the age and cleanliness of the hotel. Would recommend this to everyone.

Our room was small but nice. This particular room was down a small hallway off the main hallway which made it quieter. Free WIFI in the lobby. The lobby is small and only has eight chairs. The Hotel is very close to the Metro, and the usual Starbucks, Au Bon Pain and shopping nearby.

We recently booked this hotel on Priceline for a rate of $170 + tax and parking. After a long day of travelling, I was given a luke warm reception during the check in process. I couldn't help but wonder if it was due to the Priceline booking. Upon entering the room with my husband and 4 year old, I noticed... More

This is an excellent hotel with a few minor flaws. The room was confortable and clean. The bathroom was equally nice with plenty of towels, hot water and toiletries. Room service was fast and tasty. Over all the service was very good, but one big exception marred the ranking for the hotel. On the first day of my stay I... More

We stayed here for 4 nights on an East Coast trip On arrival the hotel had upgraded us to a Suite Oh the joy!! It was so well appointed, clean and comfortable As has been said on the site before the food is pricey so we gave that a miss but the hotel and staff(especially the concierge ) were all... More

The accommodations are very nice -- comfortable, spacious room; nice bathroom; quiet; got a great night's sleep. Restaurant prices are steep and food is only so-so. When I got home, the hotel sent an electronic receipt for a second night's stay (it said: "number of nights:2"). I was only there one night. It took me nearly an hour on the... More
