While this place looks like it was decorated by Austin Powers, with animal print throws and retro 60's cues, the hotel and service were very good. The location is impossible to beat, within walking distance to lots of cool places. We drove from NC, parked with the Valet and then just took the Metro or cabs everywhere we wanted to... More

We stayed at the Palomar in February, the hotel designated by an association whose board meetings I was attending in DC. I was surprised by the choice because this hotel was a distance from the location of the meetings, the Union Station area. In past years the designated hotel was much closer, last year within easy walking distance. The Palomar... More

The nicest staff ever! (They make me want to be a better person) always helpful, always professional - you never sense they are trying to protect the hotel's interests and just inflict rules - they are always leaning into your needs. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The restaurant staff - I like breakfast there - are exceptional!

We stayed recently at Palomar in DC and found the hotel to be very comfortable, nicely appointed, conveniently located near Dupont Circle and peopled by a very friendly and helpful staff. We needed to extend for a night and the manager on duty was able to pass along our discount for the extra night. The evening reception was much appreciated... More

Palomar is another of Kimptom's boutique style hotel - posh and hip. It is located near Georgetown (walking distance of about 10 minutes) and within walking distance of Dupont Circle, straight across of Marriott hotel. PARKING is only wallet, and NOT CHEAP - WHOOPING USD 48.00 for 1 night. At 17:00 there is the traditional reception in the downstairs lobby... More

We decided on the Palomar for our honeymoon as it had such rave reviews on here. I must say that although it was nice, it could've been much better. We stayed in a king spa room and it was nice and big and the jacuzzi tub (although fiddly to figure out how to use it) was lovely. Lacking however, was... More

This met and/or exceeded every expectation we had. We loved the art and design of both the entry and the room. The room was huge and the tub was exactly what we needed on our wedding night. The big bonus was that the bar ended up being a perfect place for our friends to meet up with us...it's an above... More

From the minute I walked In the door to when my taxi pulled away, I had a great experience. I upgraded b4 I arrived and had a huge room. Wonderful bed. Everything worked. Enjoyable wine hour that really works--- people do meet new folk. All staff are so helpful and pleasant. I'd been told how good this chain was and... More

The location is great and overall, it was what I expect from a Kimpton hotel, but the Palomar has decor that is very dark to the point of being a bit cave-like for my taste. The room was spacious & well-appointed. Front desk was helpful when I had the unusual request to borrow scissors. The bathroom was a touch scruffy... More

Friendly Hospitality. Beautiful, Clean, Large Hotel on P Street, D.C. In the heart of Dupont Circle. We visited D.C. for the weekend, and could not have been more pleased with the Palomar Hotel. The staff was unendingly friendly and helpful. Beds luxurious and comfortable. Very nice, clean rooms, shower and bathrooms. Complementary delicious Coffee and Tea 6-10 a.m. each day,... More
